Don't the anti-smoking brigade have anything else to do?

This really does take the biscuit...I nearly pissed myself laughing and then I realised they are serious. I can just see my local shopkeeper asking if he can see my, or anyone else's, licence every time someone pops in for 10 Bensons.

I wish I knew who these people were because I would go around to their house, set their bin on fire with my lighter and shove 20 regal up their a**e.

I think the labour government best f*** off villifying smokers they have to call an election sometime then we will see just how popular the smoking ban is.

One of my old school mates makes the anti smoking figures they use, basically one of Browns lackys go to the company he works for and says 'we want to make it look like the smoking ban works and need some figures to prove it' he then goes away and writes a survey thats vaguely written so the answers are weighted to say that they for example want to give up smoking. Best way of doing this is localising the surveys made for example holding a survey outside an anti smoking clinic of course they want to give up smoking that is why they are there!

"70% of smokers actually want to stop smoking."

Then they can use phrases like that 70% of who, where do they live, what job do they do, what sex are they, what age are they............and so on and more to the point name 3 of them surveyed.

It makes a Todd1970 post seem like it makes sense.

This is only the start.

You'll get these permits coming into force soon. It's like smoking tax. Supposedly the money should be spent on NHS treatment for COPD and lung cancer as well as paying for laying gold paving from your front door to the corner shop to the kiosk that sells the bloomin' things. SMOKING TAX.
Actually it's spent on politician's expense accounts and paying the various beaurocratic government appointed bodies that deal with smoking issues. Being a self appointed judgemental arsewipe is a position that commands a high salary.

Then you'll have to pay a specialist type of smoker's life insurance. No matter if you pay into any sort of insurance policy already. This is an insurance to pay for, yep, your medical care, if required as a result of smoking (fully comprehensive) but by law you will have to have at least third party smoke and death insurance in place to protect against liability claims from injured partys, namely passive smokers. SMOKING INSURANCE.
Don't worry, this will happen in America first.

Any smoker will be required by law to have a full annual medical check up pertaining especially to detect health problems caused through smoking. Only when you get this certificate (the medical will cost £50) will you be allowed to purchase cigarettes. SMOKING MOS. (Ministry of smokers).
If your carbon monoxide emissions are above a certain level, you may fail your MOS!

So you'll be BANNED from smoking in many places, you'll be TAXED on nicotine fuel, namely the bloomin' ciggies themselves. Then you'll have to pay your SMOKING TAX, SMOKING INSURANCE and get a MOS certificate before you can EVEN think about smoking without being hauled over by the SMOKING POLICE, whereby for contravention of the above you could get penalty points on your SMOKING LICENCE (yeah didn't mention that one did I? It's different to your smoking permit and guess what? You'll need to take a SMOKING TEST to get one.) even worse you could be BANNED from smoking or DISQUALIFIED from smoking, or worse still sent to jail. FOR SMOKING.

With all this beaurocratic bullshit that'll be piled before you, you'll definitely need a cigarette I should imagine. However I'm told the reverse smoke is quite a feat when performed properly. Careful not to burn up the ring road during this maneuver. So there you have it....Nudgeman's crystal ball clouding or smoking over now.

BLOOP!
@_!!

"son, im going to the shops to pick up some ciggies for your gran in the home.. would you like me to get you some as well? i know its a struggle with both your legs in plaster after having your legs broken by some nigerian gang members who were after your bank details"

"yes please mum"

20 mins later..

"son.. they said i needed a licence to buy em. so u need to go yourself. dont worry though, me and your dad will carry you"

"what about gran?"

"guess we'll just have to wheel her bed to the corner shop near the home.. and make sure her nurse comes as well, just in case"

At the shop..

"oh look, there's an australian fella in front of us, must be on holiday"

"alright cobber!! give me 20 marlboro's shopkeep"

"do you have a licence?............."

My local shopkeeper has told me he won't even bother his arse asking for licences and literally pissed himself when I told him. He doesn't sell to minors.

Good man!!!!! UP YOURS ANTI-SMOKING LOBBY!!!!! :)

I remember the days you could buy 10fags for 50pence
when i went to the philippines i brought back fags for me mates and 20 good branded fags cost me just 30p

Even though i quitted smoking 14years ago i feel sorry for smokers with the goverment taking the pish all the time, why are they so hard on smokers when clearly they will lose so much revenue that they make taxing fags.

Makes me wonder who will the goverment attack next?

all though i`m not a smoker myself due to health reason, i found this funny that they will try and bring this in. personally i dont see it working and even if it did it will be the goverment that will suffer as you think how many people will say sod the licence and buy cheap fags smuggled in from abroad. so the goverment will lose their tax off shop bought fags.

next they will say that if your caught in public with a fags your need to show your id..lol how stupid is the country coming to.
i look at it this way if people want to smoke then its up to them. they all say smoking kills ya but then so does getting run over by a bus but they dont stop them from being on the roads.
