you haven't unzipped the file. Bfemulator uses zipped files the others need to be unzipped before the emulator will pick it up.

hiya crazychaz, if you havent got it, you can get winrar from here :

http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar371.exe

hope this helps, you use it to extract the zip files that contain the machine layouts.but remember to extract each of them into their own separate folder :)

Check the refresh rate of the monitor in the same options some displays only like 1280 at 60hz mine is one of them :(

Drop down to 60 and see if 1280 * 1024 is there now.

Also check you're not on Default Monitor.

Have you changed, ya graphics recently, as it may not have picked up the graphics card, or alternatively, as above, the Default Monitor may have 2 versions, Default, and Default on *** Grafx card.

Youre monitor might not support the resolution, it needs to be over 17 inch screen to support 1280.

Not strictly true.

Your monitor / graphics cards only need to support 1280 X 1024 and not necessarily be over 17". Mine is only 17" and supports it fine.

Also if you can run the games on MFMEv3.1 or 3.2 then you have a resize screen option. Don't quote me on this as I've got it wrong before. ;)
