well i just tried windows update and theres no mention of vista service pack 1 in the upgrades?
where r u guys getting it from?

I got it by hitting the start button and updating windows in the start menu.If you do a google search should see results but i would maybe avoid the beta version.I had a problem with my pc but since updating with service pack 1 seems to have sorted it out and good job too as i was gonna go back to using xp.

Yes, but what does this mean (sorry if I sound stupid) and how does this affect Vista - Information would be appreciated. I assume you mean the 66.9MB new update.

Download Windows patches, service packs and updates for Windows XP, Windows Vista and more.
Ive always found that site to be great for updates...SP3 for XP RC2 is in there as well.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know.

I read in some forums somewhere as i knew service pack 1 was due and a guy claiming to work for microsoft said in the forums that microsoft were going to release service pack somewhere between 18th - 21st march
so i kept a check on updates and last night when i clicked check for udates my computer offered me service pack 1 for vista download, it downloaded in 3 stages and after 1st stage my computer rebooted then continued to install the rest which was a lengthy process.
