OK so this time I figured I would try something just a little different. Instead of side art I have created a backdrop, and there is alot of dynamic lighting and shadows on this too.

Posted ImageDOWNLOAD FROM Fruit Emu

Don't expect anyone to like if of course, but I got bored of doing the same old shit.

Shortcuts are the same as they were in the classic, the red invisible lamps are on the title and the center feature.

You need to use MFME 9.9 to play this because if the machine attempts to go into attract on 10.2 you will get an alarm from the MUX lamp extender.

You can play it in mfme 10.2, but as I say if it goes into attract youll need to reset it. Dont see the point, tis better to use 9.9

Thanks to Taylor for the classic, my testers, and Spectrum for reminding me it is supposed to have red lamps, also ploggy for being really fussy.

Enjoy.

hahaha.. tbh Ive already moved onto the next one..

I dont really look for the gratification but it is nice to see people happy !

This time I am going to try something else I have had on the back burner for years, but its going to be REAL hard.

I want a window next to the machine, and outside of it a really nice night time coastal pic.. Not sure if itll work.. As I say I get alot of ideas flying through my head but alot of them dont work.. The hard part is of course getting a decent photo, but with google images it shouldnt be too hard.

You could have at least made an effort with the art work.....

(Joke)

[Real meaning] This level of art seems to come effortless to you.

Fantastic work here, shame the machine doesn't run 100% (when you get cliff hanger, all the lights light, then stay lit?)

Top quality work tho, very well done.

Can you put fag burns on the machine next time, and broken buttons, bulbs not working and... erm... oh I remember, some dodgy hand written jackpot sign as the owner lost theirs lol for a truely complete RL experiance.

Oh.. one more thing, can you put a shadow of Gary Chandler behind the player, as he's always there sharking lol :)

all in all, great work.

:D This was the first time in ages I did something different. Most of them get done in half asleep mode..

Nah, it's just my persistance lol.

I arrived on the FME scene about 7 years ago and the whole make a layout thing was like a revelation. I always loved fruit machines, but I loved how they worked looked and sounded more than playing them. Sounds silly really.. The 80s was a good time for technology, I suppose I got caught up in all of it.. I've never been a fruit machine addict, I played them for fun. Ive been in the USA for 7 years so this is a way for me to keep up on them.. f*** would I play any of them now though (cos theyre shit)
Anyways where was I? oh yeah. Here is the first layout I drew, with paint.

So as you can see, it hasnt come easy. Its taken me 7 years to be able to produce what I can now, and I had never used an art program before and always sucked at art.. I guess its just a demonstration that if you want to do something then we are all equal and have the same capacity, its just whether youre prepared to put in the effort :)

And here is the second layout I ever did, which I suppose you could call the first WDX (And, me playing with enviroment rather than slapping down the machine..)

So as you can see, that sucked ass too :D I just dont give up on things easy, my car is an example... Most would have stuck some wheels on, maybe got it painted, gone out pulled some fanny and gotten the attention then got bored and sold it on. Instead I have replaced 80% of the car and I now have something totally cool.. And I still love it as much as I always did :)

It's all about persistance and staying power man.. Nothing comes easy, but, if you push yourself hard enough and dont lose site of what your goals are youll always get there :)

Fantastic work here, shame the machine doesn't run 100% (when you get cliff hanger, all the lights light, then stay lit?).

Not sure. It seems to work ok on 9.9 but then I have never played the real machine, come to think of it I have never played a real vivid, or red, or alot of others.. Last machine I played before leaving the UK was PCB, pacman plus (mazooma) and viva mexico, and they all reminded me (well maybe not so much PCB) where fruit machines went wrong.

Can you put fag burns on the machine next time, and broken buttons, bulbs not working and... erm... oh I remember, some dodgy hand written jackpot sign as the owner lost theirs lol for a truely complete RL experiance.

lol yeah Ill bare it in mind :D thing is, I live in the USA, and everything is immaculate and new here tbh.. God I have a shock coming when I come back to the UK.. :D

Oh.. one more thing, can you put a shadow of Gary Chandler behind the player, as he's always there sharking lol :)

all in all, great work.

One day Ill go bezerk and put everything on the DX lol.. I have been toying with the idea of putting the machine next to a window and a really cool clifftop/nighttime view outside.. but itll be f***in hard to make it work..
