I've just downloaded to have a look. You have to be very brave to try your hand at a PDX drawn/made from scratch. That goes for everyone who tries such a thing. I've done so before and to be honest, I didn't expect lots of replies when I made mine. For me when I released my Cash Matrix PDX, it just gave a more graphically pleasing version of a game that had no DX at that time. So it was better I guess, than a simple 'Classic' version. I released it as maybe there were one or two other people out there who felt similar.
Last thing I want to do is sound rude. Or talk down like I'm some DX genuis. Firstly, I'm no genius. Secondly, I started at the bottom once and released one or two games that by todays standards were very unintersting. It's not the greatest looking game ever. But for you, great experience to progress forward in the DX making world was to be gained. So surely some pluses there yes?
I would be more hurt if I had released a cracking DX and got few or no replies. Theres nothing wrong with a few words of encouragement though. But replies of 'great layout' seldom happen for PDX layouts anyway. But on the otherside of the coin, no one is going to reply with nastyness if the layout doesn't cut it. This layout is a stepping stone to better things.
What I would suggest for future PDX's, would be to concentrate on say a game that has no DX. The step forward graphically should stir a few replies. But without sounding rude, and I know this was a 'themed' layout with it being easter, you need to be maybe a little more adventurous with what you make. Maybe ask around for some tips on improving your techniques.
I could have breezed past and said nothing but I thought I'd post something a little constructive. Some pointers as to why theres little or no replies, and to maybe help you accept that it's not a massive blow getting little recognition for your efforts. Unfortunately, today, for anyone doing a DX, the bar is quite high. Standards are pushed almost with every release. We all started at the bottom. Some of us have had to accept the rough. And believe me, there will be plenty of that before the smooth moves in. Ironically, If you had done this 5 years ago, it would have had plenty of replies.
I hope this post doesn't smack of arrogance or rudeness. Whatever you do, shrug your shoulders, get back up, and make your new goal one that betters what you have done already. If you do this, then you will push forward and soon, get the plaudits that your work deserves.

yep i agree with that, tho i haven't downloaded the layout, thanks for your time and effort, but without sounding nasty the last few machines that you have done ,if they have they all used the same roms? if so perhaps nobody replied as they have already got some machines that run the same.

Apparently, Liberty X redid Dirty Cash. I've no idea what it sounds like.
The name 'Steve P' was everywhere when I first joined the scene. In the old days, Classics seemed to out number DX's quite a lot and most had his name on.
I wonder if he did a classic for JPM's 'Money Talks'. That would be cool.
