Hi,
I own a Maygay Simpsons machine and it's been working fine for ages.
Today I turned it on and although I can hear the transformer and the lights on the boards are all on green, the machine seems dead.
Is there a procedure I can follow to identify the problem? Are there any technical manuals that I can take a look at?
Thanks for your help,
Dave
Eek - what's happened?

sounds like your power supply is up the spout.
if you have a machine supplier near by you can ask to try a replacement power supply before you go and buy one.

Thanks. When I bought it the lights were dim and it wouldn't pay out - and this was traced to a blown fuse in the psu which I fixed, so I'm happy to try to repair it myself if anyone can suggest what the problem might be.
I appreciate the help, thanks.

could be dry solder joints anywhere on the psu or a blown capacitor.
its a case of investigation but i wouldn't have thought it would just be a blown fuse unless one of the lights on the psu is not coming on.

Ok, thanks - I'll hunt around the hertfordshire/london area for someone that sells them.
Thanks again, Dave
