Ok, I know this is a stupid Thread and I don't know why I have made it LOL, but does anyone believe that there is a so called "Safest" Machine for the under 18's??? In my opinion I would say that Pink Panther by QPS is the most reasonable Machine, although it only pays really small wins such as 20P etc, yo still get a fairly good feature game for the odd 10ps you stick in to get a board, what does everyone else think?

None, because it leads to a life of addiction later on in life.

Excellent point, even though I enjoy playing £5 Machines I would still like all Machines to have an age limit of over 18's only (if not higher), because £5 Jackpots are still as evil as all the rest, just different Decals!

I agree - ALL forms of gambling should have a legal age of 18 to participate.

Just because the jackpot is £5 doesn't mean to say some child can't become addicted, and addictions can lead to crime to pay for the habit.

What I can't understand is that you can not legally play a fruit machine with a jackpot any higher than £5 until you are 18 --- But at age 16 you can legally buy a lottery ticket and win millions !!

In any one game.

Doesn't mean they don't mega streak to outrageous amounts, the Golden Games can easily do £25/30 streaks. Just means taking away a couple more 10ps.
Amount of times I have got over £5 from jackpot repeat or a streak are getting too many to count now.

its not how much they win,its how much the stake is.

anything more than 10p on a fruity is over 18 only.

I've already seen examples of trying to increase the stake / jackpot on offer to under 18s.

I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, but heres what I remember.

It was was 2p per game (per set of reels), BUT there were 20 sets of reels. I'm sure the jackpot was £5 per game, which with 20 (or possibly £25) sets of reels would make for a £100 jackpot. I could be mistaken, it could have been a £1 or £2 jackpot per game, but even so that would make for a possible jackpot of £20 or £40 respectively. It was obviously video based.

It doesn't *really* compare to the standard £5 jackpot AWP, but it's still testing the water.

i worked in arcade in rhyl till christmas for 2 years and the 10p play golden games can give up to £44 off top feature but only when they full and the person playing it has put in over that amount in it since it went full in my mind there is no safe fruits for under 18's as i see that many young kid as young as 10 going in arcades losing all there pocket money i agree with what was said about the lottery but i do think anyone under 16 or 18 should not be aloud in arcades i'm 27 now and when i was about 12 13 all my money use to go in fruit machines i even robbed just to play em cause i was that addictive but soon as my first kid came along when i was 18 i stopped it all as i seen it's always the arcade that wins thats how they stay open dont get me wrong once and a while i might pop in and just spend a fiver now or if i'm in a pub i might put my change from drinks in one but i dont think it's right a kid of 10 being aloud in to loss his pocket money cause they are that addictive once they lost there money they do anything to make some more to go back on £5 jackpot machine which has just took a tenner of em i say if kids that young can play the £5 jackpot ones they should be made to be with an adualt as the problem around here with young gamblers is getting worse
