OK this is hte first time I have seen a fruity pay out cash like this.

It's a £5 jackpot with a 10p and £1 hopper.
I went on it, and got a board. I won a pound. It paid out in 10ps.
What?
Maybe the hopper's empty for pounds.
SO anyway I decide to continue while I'm having fun on it. I get a super start on the board and in the end I get £4.
The first pound again pays in 10ps.
The rest of it pays in pound coins.
So now I have 3 pound coins and 20 10ps.
Now basically I would expect to collect pounds form the machine if the hopper is full enough.
Is the 10p strategy an enticement to put some of it back for another chance? And then thinking bigger by putting in their quids?
Thanks for any help

(And I felt like writing this thread poetry style, deal with it ;))

Nah mate Was playing with shrapnel. Had a few 50ps, some 10ps, and 20ps/ Didn't put any pounds in until I'd finished on the machine.

Yep. Seen machines with £1s in hopper pay out first £2 in 10ps then the rest normally. Bloomey! I thought Baz would know the dip switch settings for this one....

Play our Party Time (Red cabinet rebuild edition) with the dodgy sorter, you'll collect £4 and probably get two pound coins, a 50p and a 20p :)

(Only joking, it's currently awaiting repair :))

?

Sorry CB, It may be cause it's early and I'm reading it wrong, but does that mean as you'd finished playing you put pounds in and walked away?

What I said is that I played the DOND with just shrapnel like 50ps etc, I didn not play anything with pounds until I had finished on the DOND :)

They used to do this even in the early 1990's! On a machine called 'Gold and Silver' the machine would pay in 10p's on the Silver Streak, even though it had £1 coins in it. Sometimes it would pay the £1 coins out it seemed if it felt like it! The sound of 20 10p pieces would be far more enticing to would be players than a couple of £1 thuds! It seems BFM have not changed that tactic since then! Anyone remember that gem?

Never heard of that one Steve. I've seen pennies, in the old 'heat up a penny' trick, but never 5ps

Some old project machines used to do this, when you emptied the £ tube it would payout about £10 in 20ps then pay another £20 in pounds

Start button should have dumped the hopper if it said that on the alpha.
