Huh? Am I missing something? All the machines stu played are pretty much, well, anyone can win apart from raiders.

It was just a suttle way of trying to stop Stu talking about Joker Poker. In the last week he's bragged/wrote about a so called method/emptier on it every day. I don't even know what the machine looks like.

Me and my younger brother spent most of our annual Bridlington holiday in the arcades.One day when we were skint(after we blown our daily spending money) my brother started banging on cash trays to see if any money came out of them..We got 3 x10p tokens.. put them in a Chances unlimited and got £3 jp..couldnt lose after that and went home after a week with more money than we took lol....this is the early 80s where £40 was a shit load of money.On to more recent times tho and i went on a Rainbow Riches with £20..3 little men went for 350 but thought it may have gone for£500 except there was a £10 win clashing with feature..try not to play much these days tho

ever heard the term dont count your chickens...

whilst i was in heaven for my huge windfall, somebody came in and not only got 5 cars for £500, but £50 later got 5 discs that paid £400.

total bank £961.00

So nails,even though you've got an arcade, you still go out gambling in other arcades? Isn't that breaking some sort of fraternal code?

Were you counting on luck or playing according to some sure-fire method / emptiers?

My best ever day was about 16 years ago. Around £700 in Butlins on various £4.80 machines including ACEs that worked 'on the lines', Barcrest Skillers, BellFruits with 'free' token wins,Red Hot pokers with 'infinite repeats' etc.
It took some doing and also earned me a lifetime ban!

Ok, this isn't strictly speaking a fruit machine one but brilliant none the less.
My best day ever....started with going to my local pub to get some pound coins (changefor my own fruity), the only place that does not ask me why i want so much coins (£40), they assume i am putting it in their fruit machines. Anyway the guy behind the bar is watching me from the second i go in, i was new to the area, i ask for a pint and ask if he can give me coins in the change, he does with that look of, "im going to skin tha machines when you are skint", i put £3 in some DOND with nothing so decide i will go round to the other one and put £2-3 in, finish my drink and head home, first pound on some red get ms(£50), second get £12 move back to dond to find barman comingof it put in £3, final cred get inv and mega streak £50 then a couple of small wins. came home after 30 minutes with £200 of coins and i only went out with £40 and I had a cracking beer. Took the kids out to funfair and got a babysitter to take the girlfriend out at night. Played a couple of fruities during the day all profits, paid for my entire day and night and had a profit for the day of almost £300.

all started with £5 give or take. lol

Great.....i felt untouchable, had a huge grin on my face for a week.

IMHO you would have to be stupid to play machines in your own arcade. The main reason being that the public would lose faith in your honesty and integrity. I know if I went into an arcade and the staff were playing a machine - especially if they were doing well on it - I'd be more inclined to feel that the odds were stacked against me.

Same as when I see bar staff playing machines in pubs. Not that I'm playing at the moment, but that was it - they instantly lost a rather compulsive gambler, and so lost quite a lot of machine income. Because I wasn't going in there to play machines, there would be no point me going in to buy drinks, unless I was playing darts.

Basically for one member of staff using a bit of 'inside knowledge' to know how much has gone in / out of a machine, they have lost a customer who would have staked quite a lot, and beer sales.
