The Rangers fans who rioted in Manchester is a really difficult issue to address. A few points here as I had a mate who travelled down to Manchester...and he truly IS a Rangers fan and not a blinkered one-eyed bigot. Indeed, after the game he seriously considered disassociating himself from the club after seeing the things he did.

Once down there, the group went to Piccadilly gardens. They didn't like the "atmosphere" being generated and decided to move to another area before the big screen malfunctioned.

Watching some fat scottish tosser holding his sons hand on TV trying to justify the riots by saying that Manchester is a disgrace because there was a "technical hitch" and couldn't hold a raffle is an absolute disgrace. Do you wreck the entire street if your TV reception is interrrupted? This just doesn't wash at all...and this man should have his kids taken away from him. Fecking incompetent fool!!! Fact is, the city of Manchester moved an arm and a leg to accommodate Rangers fans and they trashed the place, no-one else, end of argument.

However, Manchester are to blame too. They saw the chance of quick profits and opened off-licences at 6am. Well, you may as well offer to dangle a chicken in front of a cat. So to end up with 150,000 pissed Rangers fans was inevitable.

A lot of people who were arrested were from Glasgow. Some were from England. A lot of Scottish people have English addresses you know

I find a few comments distasteful. Firstly, Rangers fans trying to defend what happend and then stupid Stu's comments about Scots in general. Both are crap.

Bringing up Englands hooligan past isn't on!!! Frankly I think that is a card played by Scots with a guilt complex. It's not OK to brand all Rangers and Scots hooligans but in the next sentence you say that "remember England's fans are shite?"....Errrm...Isn't this the same argument gentlemen?. It doesn't matter if it's club or country, scum will attach themselves to any club / country no matter what nationality. Unfortunately in this case, it is Rangers who are a SCOTTISH club.

Stu...You must be the most stupidest person I have ever had the misfortune to read on this forum since the days of PT. You cannot come out with that kind of crap in this day and age. Grow up. There are plenty of decent Scottish people out there. They will disasscociate themselves from this kind of violence...unfortunately though, the bigotry still exists in the West of Scotland and until decent fans voice their disapproval and start naming and shaming and clubs start banning then it will continue.

Personally, being English, I hope this trash get their come-uppance. They have embarrassed the very name of Rangers FC. No city in the world will want them to come and play there. Every neutral, like me, who follow the SPL now want Celtic to win the league.

To those who besmirched the British game and the SPL and Scots in General.....COME ON CELTIC!!!!

Damn right it did. And I won some roubles into the bargain. I had the courage of my convictions and stuck a few bob on the draw.

Tell you something else though, I bet they thought St Mirren would be a pushover but it would not surprise me if the Buddies took a point too as the pressure has very much increased, leaving celtic needing a draw on Thursday.
