Firstly, let me thank, cardie and aaamusements, both top guys, who I am indebted to.
Thank you both very much.
Ok to the issue.
I have recently fitted a note acceptor (NV4) to a Red Gaming Rocket Money (Genesis). The note acceptor makes a noise when the machine starts, the float level has gone up to £250, the light on the note acceptor does not come on and there is no indication the machine recognizes there is a NV4 fitted.
I have tried switches on the main board 1,2,3,5 & 8, but none of these make any difference.
So my question is, am I doing something wrong or is there something else I can try?????
Your input would be much appreciated.
Also I am still looking for a Bezel, Mount Box and Front cover for a Genesis Acceptor Kit, so any help with this would be great too.
There are pics in another thread.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Kev.

ok one of two things here or even three
one you have dumped the machine then topped up via refill and hopper top button
two you nv4 now is there a label on it that says cc talk or key you nv4 need to be programmed for parallel setting not serial mode.
and three there in not dil switch setting needed for nv4,8,10 on the genesis need

Thanks impact.
The machine previously had a note acceptor in it!
It (the machine) still has the original reminder warnings and stickers for emptying the note box (still present) and refilling the £250 float.
So assuming any of these may be true, what can/should I do?????

There is not a sticker or marking on the NV4!
Just the usual stuff and a silver foil sticker saying GBP06 and each of the British notes accepted.
I am so frustrated with this already. lol

Thank you all, it's fixed. Serviceengineer, gave me a brilliant idea. I went into test mode had a muck about. lol Checked the bookkeeping and noticed the log for notes and decided to check dil switches one at a time again.
Dil switch number 1, switched it (this time) then noticed a flinker of life in the nv4, played the machine for ten minutes then put a note in without any trouble.
breakthrough, checked other denominations too, all successfully.
