hiya to all i need some help when i run a rom on some games you only get part of the board and the bottom is missing does aney one no why?

The instructions in that link are part wrong. You need to right click on the desktop and select properties, and then select settings tab. The name of the layout will tell you the correct resolution to use, eg. fruitdx1080 will need a screen resolution of 1080 by 1080. the first number doesn't need to be 1080, just the second.

The instructions have been corrected.
Not quite right on the file names though:
1024DX will run at 1024 x 768
1280DX will run at 1280 x 1024 or 1280 x 960 (if you remove the title bar)
1600DX will run at 1600 x 1200
