Hello People I'm new to all this so sorry for the basic questions. I have just ordered a new epoch mpu for my maygay fruit machine as the sofware was not booting on the old one (INVALID KEY 4.6 ERROR). It appears that the battery may have leaked is there any way i can replace the battery on its own? Do you know where i could get one.
Thanks
Alex

Maygay Epoch backup battery for fruit machine MPU -NIMH on eBay, also Machine Parts Accessories, Fruit Machines, Coin-Operated, Video Games (end time 20-Jun-08 16:23:22 BST)
I still wouldn't necessarily recommend replacing the battery on a board that has battery damage - it probably still won't work properly.

God I have flaming had it with trying to fix my Machine, I have waited agessssss for a ROM to turn up, it came today and I noticed that another ROM was broke aswell!:@ I tried soldering it but in the end I ended up scratching the poxy EPOCH board with a stanley knife, not only do I need a new ROM, I need a whole new EPOCH board, has anyone got to that point where you think "LETS DUMP THIS PILE OF CRAP"?

Yes, very often with Epoch machines!
Fortunately though there is usually only one of 2 components that is ever knackered... the psu or the mpu.
