hey everyone
I'm starting this thread to see the reaction i get for a few reasons.
Now the people who put in the time and effort to create these masterpieces know how much work goes into them, but the newbies don't so i'll tell them!!!!
IT'S DAMN HARD WORK!!! AND TAKES AGES.... so for those who want to play these machines will you all have the common desency(<-- spelt wrong) to say thank you to the creator and also leave some feedback to what you think of the machine and how it plays.......don't just download it......
a good friend of mine has had enough because of this please have some RESPECT

Yes I agree, it's not hard to say thanks.......but......
Reading on in your post it's a bit sad on your 'mate' that he behaves that way....I make layouts for me, and whoever enjoys them then thats an addition, but if I didn't get thanks I wouldn't stop for that reason.....does he only make them for gratitude?...if so thats wrong anyway!

Also, if everyone looked at it at that angle, we'd have no layout creators.
What really took the piss IMHO, was when mfme got updated. Hardly any thank yous at all. Now there's no excuse for that!

no i don't think its that.
but he ain't sad like i said a small thank you and a bit of feed back wouldn't go a miss its about the respect and the time and effort that is put into it.
let me ask another question in that case are you happy that some people are downloading them sticking them on a disc and selling the work that you me (but i only done1 upto now) and others do on ebay and make profit out of yours/our work. reelsoffun must be pissed aswell because he has put a price on his work. does that make him sad i think......NOT
as for who my friend is that is upto him to say

In my honest opinion a thankyou for the layout should be done automatically,It doesnt hurt posting a thank you. Like geegee said a lot of work goes into making them so a reply should be the polite thing to do.
I may have mentioned it before but if it wasnt for you guys i would still be addicted to the real things. So once again To all the layout designers THANK YOU....!

hmmmm i dont think iv seen a layout post without some thankyou's in them.
im sure the regulars allways post a thankyou anyways......

I myself am sometimes guilty of not posting a thank you, sometimes a just don't like the machine itself. In no way am I disrespecting the work involved in doing the layout. I say respect to every layout designer on here, FF, Dads, FT, and anywhere else.
It's up to the user / down loader to gives thanks if they want. Some never say thanks (look how many members there are) Do they say thanks, No they don't, which is a shame.
Pook & DAD, who are the best are lucky to get more than 20 thank you's, and FE alone has 1000's of members.
It all up to the user / down loader at the end of the day.

i always post a little thanks after a release ,its not hard work to say thanks and it only takes a matter of seconds ,i do see were your coming from when you say this because a thanks is all it takes and people are happier then cos someone apprciated there work

This isn't written too well at all!
The person in question has contacted me, and their reasons for 'giving-up' were totally misread...they are sick as in 'unwell', and the 'thanks' was mentioned in the convo and wrongly connected.
Wish that person a speedy recovery

i have been inforrmed that my mate is ill at the moment and that i have misunderstood, and taken out of context what he meant. i apologise for the rant. he is just to ill and doesn't want the hastle at the moment and says he will hopefully be back soon.
