My first post, but hey, it needs to be said:

Roy, show some respect.

The many people who have spent their spare time making and perfecting these emulators need to be respected. I would bet they all have other commitments outside of this site, families, jobs and work. To come out with a statement like that is just begging for reaction of some kind.....who knows why....maybe that's how you get your kicks.

To those that have replied and defended the makers, well done....that's what a community is all about. Although the 11 pint replies had a bit of language in them, can see they came from people who care.

To all those that spend their time making these emulators a big thanks. Me, the Mrs and the kids have had hours of entertainment from them, and all for no price at all.

So a big thanks to all you makers out there, only wish I had the talent.

Here here. Well said mate. Hope you have the time to post a lot more....and tonight I've had 10 pints.

What gets me is that I don't have a clue how to go about emulating a machine. I couldn't even draw a stick man at school so using photoshop and above is beyond me at present (I am in training!!!). But what I do realise is how much effort goes into creating classics and DX's by the more talented individuals amongst us. If I'm pissed and I read a post degeneralising those efforts, it makes my blood boil. I will always stick up for those boys 'n girls that make FME possible. Those that abuse it and try to make it their own will suffer my wrath.

now you can take a bow too for your 2326 th post though i have only just started emulating and myself didn't realise the actual amount of work that does go into them until now all of us that do emulate do deserve the respect and not the pish like he put you may be right he may have done it as bait i maybe right saying he made a mistake he may have meant the machine not the DX (that maybe all he knows it as being a numpty) but either way he should come back admit he is wrong and apologise to the person that made the DX think that was POOK could be wrong so sorry if i am:confused:

Sorry Geegee...couldn't resist pointing out the irony of you posting on a thread called "Grand National".

I definitely think you should have the final word mate. :)
