No silly at all....
Rule of thumb I'd say is a 1024 is lappy releated (3 years ago it was the standard CRT! lol).
Best bet is to see what Res you can 'handle' firstly kbo, then read the download notes and go from there-on. Just lately theres a spate of 1024's and they have the sub title 'Lappy Friendly'......though although its a fair percentage correct it's not fully.
Just because you use a lappy you needn't look for the word 'lappy' in the release thread.

perhaps layout designers could put a little laptop friendly note on their release page or when they upload to this site...
or a checkbox to a little laptop Friendly Gif or something a little more automated??

Cyberpunk:- alienated loner who lives on the edge of society in generally dystopic future where daily life is impacted by rapid technological change, an ubiquitous datasphere of computerized information, and invasive modification of the human body.....Hmmmmm

A 1024 can still in theory be missing the buttons you cannot remove the status bar using f11 on 9.4 and up so if you ran an older layout made when you could you might still lose the buttons so in theory not all 1024 layouts are laptop friendly

ive got a laptop with a 15" screen but i have no probs playing the bigger machines as i have connected to a pc screen via the leed of my monitor and the connection port that looks like a tv with 2 lines either side of it then hold down the fn button then then another button with the same simbol as the connection and heypresto all then is needed is to ajust your screen to 1280 by 1024 and you should be ok:bigeyes14:
