He steals money from whip-rounds, the guy's a real creep
He steals food from the fridge, whenever he can {maybe his last pay packet hasn't arrived yet - I know that pain...}
He downloads knock off films, what a grubby little man!
HE'S A KNOCK-OFF NIGEL
A KNOCK-OFF NIGEL
KNOCK-OFF NIGEL DOWNLOADS KNOCK-OFF FILMS {gotta make ends meet somehow...}
Anyone else annoyed by this disgraceful anti-piracy propaganda currently fouling both our evening viewing and our morning radio? First it was 'if you buy pirate DVDs, you're helping terrorists bomb little kiddies, and you've got THEIR BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS!' - now, just 'cos someone snides the odd movie (which still makes box-office millions for the companies regardless), that makes them fair game for outrageous slander and libel? That's like suggesting anyone who's ever double-parked is also a rapist...
Like this is going to reduce piracy at all - anyway, the companies should be comfortable with at least a modicum of piracy, after all, if their movie isn't even being viewed for free, that means nobody's paying to see it either!
And if they still want to reduce piracy, they should go after the ones who initiate the illegal share in the first place, not attack those who download what's already out there, surely?
Aside, if 'Knock-Off Nigel' is downloading in the workplace (ie using company bandwidth), then he's only got himself to blame for getting caught, but that's for his employers to deal with!
(For the record, I don't download/share copyright material myself, but still...)
