Considering they are at the top Barcrest should be shitting themselves, with all this credit crunch going on (sic) surely gambling is first to be crossed off the necessities list in an average household?

Walk into any pub up n down the country and for every 1 Barcrest owned machine you'll find 10 bellfruit owned (includes mazooma/QPS) m/c's.
Barcrest have been in a slum for over 12 months. Bellfruit are top dogs at the moment.
They might own 5 brands but
Impulse nothing happened with that arm for ages
Vivid again nothing happening
Extreme only 1 machine released since the £35 upgrade. & 2 clubbers
Barcrest only recently has there been a few new releases
Red gaming is the only brand going strong & even they are becoming as a rare as rocking horse shit.

If cash attack hadn't have come along then I'd say bellfruit easily. Open the box is possibly 1 of the all time worst machines ever. I've had a PCB2 cost £23 for a board.
End of the day as much as I hate DOND's they give the public what they want!! the chance of a jackpot off a few quid. But the newer crests will only JP from a force which can be very costly.

CYBTB can cost similar for a board, so can any red.
I'd say the overall ideal machine would be panters and clones. Popular with players and will still give cheaper boards than most (What is won is a different story though ).
