Hi guys, I'm after your help again if pos. Whenever I don't use the machine for a couple of days and then switch it on the alarm goes off. It comes up with an error message "Mem Reset Alarm". I was advised that it was due to a battery problem and have since disconnected the board to try and find the battery. What I'm struggling with is that there are two batteries and I'm not sure what battery does what (I have tried to attach a couple of photos of the board but not sure if they will appear or not....). Appreciate any help (again!). Cheers

im pretty sure its the battery on the board with eclipse wrote all over it seeing as though thats the main board

Hi, there is a black round battery directly below it which has U47 to the left and C72 below. Thanks.

That's a capacitor not a battery. BT1 is the only battery I can see in that picture.

well it will be the one on the front anyway so i was rite lol just a little confusion

Sorry, I thought it was a battery (still learning!). So if I replace the small silver battery my problems should be solved? Thanks all for quick responses.

One last question, has anyone got any tips on fitting these batteries? It looks like it's soldered on and I'm not sure of the best way of removing it etc. Thanks

Should just slide out to the right.

I've tried to slide the battery out but it will not budge (it won't even turn around in the holder). I haven't tried forcing it too much as I'm nervous of breaking something. I've tried looking underneath the battery and it looks as if it is soldered but it's difficult to tell. Thanks again.

It could just be a little stuck from being there for a while but I would doubt very much it's soldered in.

the one on my mpu5 are soilderd on but very slighty

It is soldered to the board via the 3 legs. This is similar to a standard type coin cell but is directly board mounted rather than being in a holder.

Apply a soldering iron to the 3 legs in turn.
