I love it, but I don't know what it is! I'm hoping I've posted this in the right place (or even on the right forum!).
I bought an obviously old fruit machine from a flea market for £22. In it were still shillings! It is made by brenco, takes 2 and 10p's, has three reels with fruit on it and you can win with "MHG" combinations. It has Jackpot written on it. I'm not sure how else to describe it.
I've done a bit of looking on the internet, and it's not the brenco Silver Chest or Copper Prince. I'm intrigued!

The manufacture date on the socks I got on is older than you.
@Jess
Describe the machine sounds interesting is it one armed? Approx date 50s, 60s, 70s etc. Any features (doubtful) but try and give me more information I played 100s of these things in my day it might ring a bell if I know more.

Only Brenco's i know of are the "Two Reeler" (1968ish),Silver Chest and Copper Prince (1972). Depends on being button or arm controlled but doesn't ring any bells without a picture.
You can get a complete and working "Two Wheeler" for £95 from Swallow Amusements.

Right. It has "moneybank" written on the inside of one of the reels. It dispenses coins from two places-one for 2p's and one for 10's, on either side, halfway down the front of it. The locking cash box thing is in the middle at the bottom. It has three hold buttons, one start button and two coin reject buttons. It offers 2p for one play, and 10p for five plays, but I think it was converted from taking shillings. It has a list of the winning fruit on the right of the reels and on the right an the explanation that "MHG in any position in each window pays 20p (27 ways to win)". Does that help?!

It's got no arms! It's definately not the two reeler, silver chest or copper prince as I've seen pictures of them. Sorry about lack of photos, this is SOOO frustrating!

There was a brenco moneybank but unsure about the description as to wether it is this machine, they used to have one at Brighton Bus depot Cafe, so many years ago...
and a Brenco King strike with crossed swords on the reels, (at least i think it was brenco).
Seems Brenco manufactured around 50 Slot machines between 1968 and 1990, by derrick Brenner of Weston Super Mare.
Does it look like this one??

The Crossed swords appeared om most but not all Brenco machines, i think some had barrels and some had other symbols, if its that machine im pretty sure its a Brenco MoneyBank..

if its in full working order you could see a return of £100 but it depends on collectors and if you put it on Ebay or contact a collector direct. There are dealers on the Antique slot machine webring who buy older machines and if i remeber correctly someone at The Mecca was after a working brenco machine....(VINNY130172)

Wow! We love it, so won't be selling it, but it's good to know that I wasn't had! Thank you for helping me find out exactly what it is. I googled brenco and couldn't find anything like it.
