help i have a jpm touch screen game box

and the screen has gone dead dark but all works perfect only had bout 8 weeks got off ebay am gutted does anyone have any idea on whats wrong and how much it would cost to fix and if so is something that i could fix myself or would i have to get someone out to do it if so am in liverpool and not sure who repairs them around here if this doesnt work then i am selling it if anyones interestd and if you answer my question thanks in advance nicki xx:bigeyes10:

I know there has been a few threads about this particular machine. You could even try posting your problem as there are a good few tech guys over there who maybe able to help.
Here's a PDF manual for the 'who wants to be a millionaire' machine which I believe is the same as the multiple game machines. Not sure if it will help.

sounds like the inverter has gone in the screen or backlight if it is old on laptops if you unclip the inverter for the screen n plug it back in ive found that 75% of the time the screen will come back this will be the same principle
toddy likes to change signatures as he has nothing better to do..

Not really, no.
The monitor in the machine will be a CRT whereas you are talking about an LCD screen in a laptop.
Very different things.

most touch screens now are lcd just presumed..
toddy likes to change signatures as he has nothing better to do..

Unless it has popped it's fuse, which Pentranics are not unknown for.
Look for signs of scorching/ overheating on the circuit board.
