Seen in the chat window someone who wants to see what 'Hit The Six' looks like. Here's a JPG I nabbed from eBay a while ago just for those intrigued by what the game looks like.

was quite similar to 7heaven in that it sometimes went on one and went on a big token streak. You certainly got better gameplay on the £4.80 jp version as with most oldies.Looking forward to playing this class machine againthanks for the pic cc i remember seeing this now but never played it(was into 7 heaven, twilight zone and the bwb vids at the time)

Got to be honest - but am I missing something here? I really liked HTS - but it wasn't much different to 777 heaven and clones. Was there something to it that I missed? The streaks were the same as 777 heaven, around £30 max. It had some great hidden features though - I often made few quid up cleethorpes as trippers would leave the HTS symbol on the line, or the 6 in the middle. The cheeky cheat of holding the right symbol if the 6 was on the line was pretty cool, got to admit.
Have I missed something? I personally preferred Fortune wheel £4.80 version.
(Of course I'll be downloading HTS the moment it comes on line!! *s*

Of course another trick is to bring low wins after the nudge, let them hold, but don't let them spin, instead hold the single highest amount for that prize
HTS for me is more of a cross between Jokers Wild & Jackpot 7's, with it's own unique low tech gameplay!!!

Ahh yes - forgot that one. That meant a nudge / hold never meant less than £2.
I have to be honest, I can never really remember getting ripped on this one. Definitely great value for money - and the hidden features really made you feel you had an edge - back before the hidden features became mainstream - I think ACE messed it all up 'Have you sen my hidden treasures?' Shhhhhh! Don't tell the world!
Great days indeed.....

If you have a semi-complete classic, when it's first loaded up, the bank LED displays a number. Usually beginning with a P. Something like P240, P230 or P550. I'm under the impression that the lower this 'P' number, the earlier the roms are. Any chance of posting this just out of curiosity? It would be interesting if these roms are like P100 or lower as that may point towards the tricks being added later, rather than being put in on early versions but removed on later. The lower the number, the earlier it seems. (Sevens and Melons is P010 so could be very early, maybe even original rom versions).
I guess the way things have progressed over the years on the scene, HT6 may well be up there in the P300+ range. Indicating that they are very late £4.80 versions.
Thats all based on a theory I have with Proconn anyways.

The P numbers are marked on the labels of the two HTS eproms I have. The original bad HTS rom was P310 set on 82%. This new one is P386 set at 90%.

Pretty much most of these early lo-techs could be emptied by switching them on and off until a hold was offered.

Wasn't there a '10p trick'? When these first came out, you could collect the half credit. For example, if you put a 50p coin in, you got 2 plays, and could collect the unused 10p. I remember hearing once that you simply collected this 10p, then put it back into the machine, and collecting and so on. If you continued the cycle, and you saw a very brief flash of the hold lamps when entering that 10p, you'd then simply add another and you would get the hold.
Never seen it myself as it was another of those things that emerged after it could no longer be done. In otherwords, the manufacturers got rid of being able to collect half credits when the alledged trick became common knowledge. But it seems logical for the manufacturers to disable the half credit collect if a trick did exist.
