Wasn't there a '10p trick'? When these first came out, you could collect the half credit. For example, if you put a 50p coin in, you got 2 plays, and could collect the unused 10p. I remember hearing once that you simply collected this 10p, then put it back into the machine, and collecting and so on. If you continued the cycle, and you saw a very brief flash of the hold lamps when entering that 10p, you'd then simply add another and you would get the hold.
Never seen it myself as it was another of those things that emerged after it could no longer be done. In otherwords, the manufacturers got rid of being able to collect half credits when the alledged trick became common knowledge. But it seems logical for the manufacturers to disable the half credit collect if a trick did exist.
See ? Another *trick* i just get to know about

Coulda been very rich back in them days.
Actually probably one the 1st fruitys i remember playing all the time was Cloud 999..thats the one that probably got me hooked..always remember getting nudges..nope..nothing there..nudging in pair of yellow bars etc..then holding them..untill one day guy standing beside me told me to let the spin after nudges then the 3 of a kind win comes in.
I thought that was an amazing "cheat" back then.
