A friend of mine has this buisness for sale not me.

For sale one of my Amusement Arcades i am selling due to the rising cost of fuel is making it less cost effective for me to run this as i live 100 miles away so here it is for sale.

Staff, currently 1 lady opens up and runs the arcade during the week till around 6pm and i go over on a weekend to do sat/sun, the arcade can hold about 28 fruits and it is currently running on a council permit and is exempt from any gambling commisson fees as its all 10p play £5 jackpot machines. permit is £100 for ten years and is classed as a unlicenced family entertainment centre.

Rent £65 per week
Rates approx £11 per week
electric approx £30 week
and theres a phone on at the moment if you want to take that over.

Machines the sale price is with or without machines and i am happy to negotiate a package as some of the machines in there have are going to the other arcade i have and i can work on this with you if you want more fruits then we do that and if you want more barx we talk about that too, but the barxs, redbar and big7 all have chuzzy kits in which cost £500 each just for the eprom plug in board so thats £2500 plus the cost of the machines so they will not be included in this deal, also the reno casino in the photos is now listed seperatly on ebay but if i can work a deal then i will put this in with the business unless it sells on ebay first.

Lease, You will have the option to obtain a new lease of your requiremnt from the landlord directly and that would be done between you and him at the right time.

Location NG7 4GR, sutton in ashfield.
I live in Bridlington so as you can guess its quite a commute.

Takings, ask me offline but i am sure you will have better ideas how to run this and more up to date machines so thats not fixed, also as you will see in the photos it is next to two take aways and indeed just a few doors to the tight is another pizza shop so you are directly next to 3 take aways and on a weekend evening we get people in spending when they are waiting for food so that helps but it is not open during the week on a evening so there is potential for more earnings right away. Also as you will see in the photos it is right next to a busy street and if you google maps for the postcode you will see it is right in the middle of many houses

round the back is ample parking and inside you have a toilet room and office/kitchen area with sink.

please note the jetsort can be included but it has broken and i will attempt to get it repair otherwise worry it won't be unless you want it broken, also you get the use of the landlords safe and change machine which is a 3 hopper design for multi coin and is programmed for new £20 notes.

competition, currently there is one other main arcade in the town(agc) and one small (5 machines ufec) both about a mile away, but only the small one allows kids so you have it sewn up really for that.

The shop has electrically operated roller shutter doors on the front and one at the entrance to the office area. There is also a alarm system fitted which can connect down the phone line if you so choose.

Oh the odd patches of white paint are from where i had different machines they will be painted to match rest.

There is also a flat above which is seperate and would be a seperate deal directly with the landlord nothing to do with me if your interested, rent is paid how you like monthly, quaterly, yearly.

Thanks for looking and any questions please ask, no messers thanks.

All transactions are subject to conditions on Building landlords approval. interview maybe required before completion of sale.

ebay link

Amusement Arcade Business for sale on eBay, also Fruit Machines, Fruit Machines, Coin-Operated, Video Games (end time 08-Sep-08 17:30:11 BST)

the seller has also a reno casino 4 player multiplayer sit down machine and a reelking up for grabs aswell

I live about 4 miles away, look quite a fun arcade, sure beats all the Nobles arcades I've seen with theire BAR7 machines lined up every where!

However what do you get for you £6K?

Like you could set up something on you own with £6k maybe?

I'm gonna have a few quid in there if I find it.

Them 10p machines cant be taking much money, pay some licence & put bigger jackpot machines in & you will attract the real gamblers & make more money.

license duty and rent is killing my arcade, was thinking of selling mine as i just dont have the time and effort to make it right.

as i see it, the government can regulate casinos, and therefore give them support. since arcades are 99.99% unmonitored, we get nothing.

I was half interested until I saw the price.

I'd be happy to clear £100 a week for my investment, but the running costs posted, make me think I'd be better of doing it from scratch. It's not like I'm gonna quit my day job.

If there were pictures of it full of customers spending, I might reconsider.

Another note is those BARX , £5 X and £5 BAR what kind of structure is that, bet the suck for £30 a time with no win!

Hi Jay

Lincs as mentioned that thay are not included in the price but has also said that thay are non chuzzy chips, and I have been told previously that yes thay go on a big suck and then go off on a streak for around £50 quid.

Not sure about the Bar X but a red bar and i would assume big 7 as its essentaly the same game with differaent symbols, what happend is all the hold lights flash with a silly noise and then when you hit start a win spins in, It will do this alot in quick succession with the odd nudge flash win and straight drop in win. I have had one go for £50 quid.

Chuzzy Chips are basically expanded game play upgrade kits, mostly done by the likes of MAB, though I do believe other do em, like CHS.

Having moved from Scarborough to Nottingham, I've been looking for an arcade full of pocket money machines. As I often get sucked into the £500 / £35 big losses for no gain.

However they are no fun if no one else plays them, unlike here at the seaside. Those BarX machines must be £25 machines in drag! You can say that about the Golden Games too!

As for a business, it would be ideal for me to keep an eye on, but for £6k I'd want something I can take over there and then.

It's tough for any acrade owner to make a living, but as a hobby or a side project, it could be worth a punt.

Hi

MAB = MAB systems what the MAB stands for I dont know but i think thay are based in Hull, I thought i had read somehere thay had closed down but this would not seem to be the case as the website at http://www.mab-systems.co.uk/home.html is still active.

However thay were the 1st compainy to supply an alternate chip set for electrocoin games like bar x ect this improved game play by adding hidden extra nudges, nudge wink, 3 holds for the win, and finaly hold after nudge gave you the win that the pair was so if you have 2 bars you would get 3 bars, rather than a random x or bar win. Also added a streak to the game. as well as conversions thay also made some complete games in electrocoin cabinets as well. as for Astra and maygay cabinets. Super Nudge wink, Gimme 5 are examples of some of there own kits. If you want to learn more search for MAB systems in google.

CHS = Coral Haze Supplys and are based up here in the North east in south sheilds. that do rebulds and distribute fruit machines, the one machine you may have seen from the is spin n win, a simple machine that does what the name says you just spin and hope a win comes in, thay also have other machines you may have seen. Mind you i did not know thay did chuzzy kits.Again if you want to know more search in google for Coral HAze Supplys mind you i dont think thay have a web site.

Are things really that bad, I thought you had the nasty B3 machines in like Elvis, that usually make a killing for the operator.

Mind you, I suppose people are wising up to that now, and aren't playing them as much?

Do you just run the arcade or do you have a job as well?

Just wondering can you make enough to make a living off, or is it just enough to pay for the odd holiday.

I guess smoking bans, and tight wallets don't help these days.

hi my name is phill and i have the arcade for sale and was hoping to answer questions and such.
1. chuzzy kits are made be chuzzy ( thats a real bloke looks like god with a big long white beard never stops talking) no one else, mab went bust about 8 years ago and the kits where crap, the punters simple won't play bar-x's unless they are on chuzzy kits and 5 and 5 in that area and in brid too, the customer is always right, by the way they are on 20p play ssssshhh!!!
in addition the kits are optimissed to work in this way and out perform any other bar-x period.

2. i would be open to serious offer but i am in no rush to sell.

3. the licence required to go form 10p/£5 permit to £25 quiders£500 quiders is rufly as follows;
a.cost of machine lets say 4 rainbow riches style 3000 each
b.customs and excise for each machine per year 1965
c.gambling comission application fee 988
d.gambling comission yr fee 1600
e.council application fee 1000
f. council yr fee 500
g. then you have to put pound coins in.

so you can spend lets say 25 grand to take 25 grand or 10 quid a year to take 15grand choice is yours.

As for opening your own cause its cheaper, try getting planning permission since 5th sept last year, unless you have 60 grand for a good barrister.

just to correct something in a post i would be happy to sell some barx in the deal but not with the chuzzy kits as part of the deal as each kit is £500 so thats £2500 worth of chuzzy kit alone int he arcade.

Is the license for the premises and not the person, unlike a publicans license?

60,000 for a lawer to get a license just to run some 5 pound machines? I think I'm give it a miss :D

I would love to take over and go retro machine mad, but I guess you can't run 20p 4.80 jackpots these days can you?
