They are mosty between 90-92%
problem is with being £1 play means there are times you get no wins to offset big wins and they also spend a lot of time giving little wins to keep the percentage ticking over

Plus the percentage is calculated over 512,000 spins in some cases, so if they are sat on a lumpy profile they can be EVIL at times.

Back on topic!

How can these machines have the facility to gamble the win (some do) yet be classed as random and play to a percentage.

I have played twice, first time dropped £200 on a gamble within £5, second time lost rather a lot, but it gradually let me get higher on the gamble - not the behaviour of a random machine.

The "gamble" for anyone who has not seen it, is a pointer going around on a red and blue disc, you can select your "odds" and pointer has to stop in blue sector to win.

They aren't random...Well shouldn't be at least, B3s are supposed to be compensated. I have seen is Spa's videos and that a lot of them do say THIS IS RANDOM! But that is gobshite lol

As for £5 in £200 out, that's just luck really. But because they will offset so much for so long, unlike the £35s, its stupid to shark em and play for the big one if it's going to cost 3 Grand to get.

No.

B3 machines can either be random or compensated, but it has to say which on the front of the machine as a disclaimer.

Percentage wise the typical range is 90% to 94%, although I expect operators to start being greedy over the winter when things are tight and start asking manufacturers for lower options. One large chain operate their Project B3 machines on 88%, because the option is there.

I think the minimum percentage for B3 machines by law is 70% but due to the stakes and prizes involved 90% or 92% is standard and I doubt manufacturers will offer too much lower unless sales depend on it.
Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

That's just it. The 50p win could well be a £500. Just got too gamble it.

ive just checked my electrocoin magic 7 bingo £500, and it has options for 90 02 and 94. the barcesr rane is either 90 or 92.

Elvis can suck £10,000 without a jackpot, and also we paid 10 jackpots on elvis within 6 weeks. best part it was the same customer, and we offer `get 10 jackpots get 1 free` so we gave him an extra £500.

These B3 machines seem to be, uniformly, the biggest piles of poop ever. Absolute evil personified. I thought Section 16 was dangerous but at least Section 16 machines paid out fairly regular jackpots, and could be entertaining, even thrilling to play.

B3 gameplay is dreadfully dull, features are so few and far between (e.g. the time gap between bonuses on Cashino, Elvis and Rainbow Riches), it's now just a monotonous but still fast journey to serious losses, which are irrecoverable because the £500 is all but unattainable now.

As for Party Games Slotto, I've had one freaking jackpot in a YEAR of playing it. There is now a Double Action Slotto in my local arcade, and according to the staff it has NEVER paid a jackpot after six months on site - what's all that about?!

Yet again the "Industry" has missed a trick with these machines. They should have kept the percentages at 94% but offered the option to the player of selecting exactly the same game as before conversion, but with a stake of £1, all wins halved and a jackpot of £250. That would have kept things on an even keel for the player, and prevented these ridiculous hard games that we are now seeing because the prize to stake ratio is so high.
