TBH, I don't hold too much hope even if it deos happen. S7 was ok but S8 just didn't do it as much as the early series.

WOW this is the best news - I was only thinking about the last ep just a day or so ago - where Rimmer boots the Grim Reaper in the bollocks

That said, will Craig, Danny, Robert and Chris be resuming their roles - won't really be the same otherwise...

Great news!!!

Best episode ever, series 6 episode 2 "Legend".

Rimmer: "I am indeed impressed with this fine piece of art. So beautiful in it's simplicity. Pray, what do you call it"

Legend: "It's the light switch, sir".

Rimmer: "So.....I couldn't buy it then????".

Legend: "Not really........I need it to turn the lights on and off".

Pure class. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Looks promising...
I just hope it's not the numbing disappointment that these things can sometimes be.

"Busy, Dave?"
"Well, yeah. I am, actually."
"Oh, then you won't want to know about the two super-light-speed fighters that are tracking us."
"What?!"
"I'll leave you to your bubble blowing, mate."
"No, Hol, come on, come on."
"They're from Earth."
"Three million years away?"
"They're from the NorWEB federation."
"What's that?"
"The North Western Electricity Board. They want you, Dave."
"Me? Why? What for?"
"For your crimes against humanity."
"You what!"
"It seems when you left Earth three million years ago, you left two half-eaten German sausages on a plate in your kitchen."
"Did I?"
"You know what happens to sausages left unattended for three million years?"
"Yeah. They go all mouldy."
"Your sausages, Dave, now cover seven-eighths of the Earth's surface. Also you left seventeen pounds, fifty pence in a bank account. Thanks to compound interest you now own ninety-eight percent of all the world's wealth, but since you've hoarded it for three million years nobody's got any money except for you and NorWEB."
"Why NorWEB? "
"You left a light on in the bathroom. I've got a final demand here for one hundred and eighty billion pounds."
"A hundred and eighty billion pounds! You're kidding!"
"April fool."
"But it's not April."
"Yeah, I know, but I could hardly wait six months with a red-hot jape like that under my belt."

I'm a Dwarfer!

I hope it's true, there's been rumours of a movie for years so I'll believe it when I see it.

I think it needs just one more episode with some kind of definate ending.

I'll keep my fingers crossed!

It was from the episode called ME-2

and your right it was Norman lovett who played holly the male Ai with the same IQ as 6000 PE teachers or 12,000 car park attendants, but not as intelligent as his best mate Gordon.

Best if you load 'em into Word rather than notepad.

Queeg is by far my favorite lol

Great news, I've seen them all a million times. I hope they do it some justice. The actors are all getting quite old looking now, especially Craig Charles.

As stated above, season 7 was weak and season 8 was dire. This needs to be something special, maybe based on the scripts for the film that never was?

Amazingly, I stumbled across this a couple of weeks back, and felt nothing. Weird, because I used to be a rather large Red Dwarf fan, got all my gear signed by all the cast I used to watch at comedy gigs, knew the scripts off by heart, read the books, had the T-shirts, e.t.c.

However, I know damn well this will be horrible. Sorry, but it will be. It's been so long now with no news that they would have been better off meeting up saying 'sorry, but the film we said we were filming - actually, that never got to the filming part, and we're going to leave the series to grow old gracefully and not do any more shows'.

The only way I can see it getting any better is to drop that bloody imitation Kochanski (sorry, but Kochanksi always has been, and always will be Clare Grogan - either her or accept that she is dead once again and have no Kochanski) and stop dumbing down. I remember watching the opening for Series 8, full of anticipation and excitement, and about 5 minutes in thinking 'I'm sure I should be laughing but this just isn't funny'.
