you must be posh down there. never drunk it out of a bag!

Its more discreet. Most of the local alcos drink in the middle of town, where people are shopping etc.
Its not nice to see anyone drinking out of a bottle imo but they must think that the police are wondering whats in the bag.Dont know about Scottishland but in our town it is illegal to drink in the town centre.Going to bed now,I bid you farewell..Well pissed lol

Class player in his day.Them were the good days when you could get pissed and smoke whilst aiming for a world title. He was quite a character, not like most of the robots on tv these days.

'Big' Bill Werbeniuk dies, 56

Last Updated: 1:10PM GMT 22 Jan 2003

Former snooker player Bill Werbeniuk has died of heart failure.
Along with Cliff Thorburn and Kirk Stevens, 'Big Bill' as he was often known formed a powerful trio of Canadian players who challenged for every tournament in the early 1980s.
Werbeniuk, who was 56 last week, was famous for consuming huge quantities of lager during his matches and claimed smoking and drinking helped steady his nerves at the table.
Werbeniuk claimed he suffered from a rare disease which caused his hand to shake and lager seemed to be the only way of controlling it.
Werbeniuk, who turned professional in 1973, won the North American and Canadian championships in his first season and was reputed to have won US 20,000 in 10 hours playing 9-ball pool in America in 1977.
In 1979 he reached the quarter-finals of the World Championship and the semis of the UK event, moving to England and setting up home in a converted bus in which he travelled from tournament to tournament.
He was in the top 16 in the very first ranking list and over the following eight seasons only once dropped out of that elite group. His best position was eighth for the 1984-85 season.
His best achievements came in the 1980s. In 1982 he helped Canada win the World Team Cup and his first major final came two years later in the 1984 Lada Classic - when Steve Davis beat him.
Werbeniuk quit the circuit in 1989 having already received fines from the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association for taking a banned substance.
He spent several seasons in the top 16 but his career was effectively ended when inderal, a drug he said he took to help his heart cope with the large amounts of alcohol he was drinking, which he claimed counteracted a tremor in his arm, was banned.

Dint know he was dead,we were talking about him the other night over a beer. One of the overweight members of our team has been nicknamed Bill and it come up for discussion. Its funny that lager calms your nerves,I always play better after a couple of pints.5 or 6 and my snooker is at its peak, then it all goes downhill after that.Be nice to be able to see the snooker elite getting pissed again, doubt it will ever happen tho.

Funny that - at the 8 pint mark, I can generally beat anyone living at pool; often while singing along to whatever is on the jukebox.
After the eight pint mark I fall over.

Probably a good reason not to turn pro.

I used to play pool a lot but found I were playing 3 and 4 nights a week.Like the challenge of snooker more and play in a league. We are all average and not much between us.We opted to stay in the "b" league cos its easy and we enjoy ourselves, not taking it too seriously, and most importantly, have a laugh. We play on a Wed night and practice Sun.Our local snooker club is like stepping back in time.60s decor, rubbish carpets, curtains etc.If I were desperate for a shit I would go home, its that bad.Always trouble but I like it lol.

Waiting for our lass to come home with some beers,Im parched!

Yes,thats the missus. That is her fancy dress outfit for Halloween party at work on Friday.Told her to keep it on when she gets in for some bedroom action;)

Liked the montage by the way, some great pics.

Our lass working till 9 so rustled some tea up and chilling a few bottles of that white wine vinegar shite.Had a big sesh last night been rough all day.Dont drink whiskey myself due to the fact that I am greedy.Last time I had some was at a friends wedding. Drinking silly amounts and not feeling pissed, then I went outside. As soon as the air hit me,that was it!
Took me nearly 4 hours to walk the half mile trip home lol, never again.

Deano is your misses into swinging........or is she a lesbian, im a lesbian in a mans body!!

Been selling poppies, pissed now 5 whiskies and a few pints of home brew. i cant see the kieys now and its 9-30pm so im off for a bath. my misses not too happy cause i cant do a Tesco order online. Son been home today seen him for 10 minutes in 5 weeks, daughter still having time of her life in Glasgow.

Made another 50 pints of ale now in barrel in shed, only 6 weeks to go until i can drink. I have 100 pints in there now, and another barrel just about empty, off to Scarborough tommoroz to get another kit, possibly Tom Caxton bitter for £7-99. That should be ready for Christmas.

Luckily i have a bottle of Canadian Whisky to keep me going for a few days.

She aint into swinging and not a lezza.Think its a blokes dream to find their lass getting down to some lezza action with one of her fit mates. You walk in on them, then they ask you to join in.
Never in a million years would it happen for real lol.

Shes working till 9 again, got some more wine in the cooler and struggling to eat a mega spicy pasta dish.went to job centre today,no joy,so had a couple of pints in Witherspoons. Its been freezing here today, wrapped up but the wind was bitter. You get any snow?

Does Tom Caxton's still charge an extra £3 for 'stronger/export' home brew kits? Considering all you have to do is double up on the yeast and sugar, so that £3 is really a rip-off.

I used to do home brewing some years ago. It's quite fun although usually, I'd start a batch because I fancied a drink, totally forgetting it was gonna be a few weeks before it was ready. Had lots of batches go bad. When I was skint, I'd still drink the odd flat pint. Used to get some really massive and tasty tomatoes which grew in the area I dumped my flat beer. I gave up in the end when my tap flew off my £80 pressurised barrel and ruined the sheds carpet.
