Why post a pic of it? If people are motivated enough to get this far in the thread, I'm sure they know what it looks like.

My own personal opinions are those that I doubt posting a pic would generate a situation. Seeing as theres YouTUBE clips and other visual references to this game posted around the site in general. But other mods may have different opinions than me.

But I was gonna delete the images simply because of the first paragraph in my post. Being that this far in the thread, such images really don't serve a purpose.

Oh I see delete mine and no one eles. was that fecking personal attack huh?
I posted that just as a laugh really. (teasing peeps)
I don't actually understand what you new mods have a probrlem with this for, feck sakes. Picture added. :D Another one for you too delete! oh and I get a free ban also :D

Of course not. I didn't delete it did I? And I mentioned just the same to Danny who took it in his stride. I just thought it was a bit daft posting those earlier pics as everyone knows what the thing looks like. If they were posted at the start of the thread, I'd have been a great deal less negative about it. As for ''us new mods' having a problem with this. Firstly, we will do anything and everything it takes to protect the site from generating uneccessary attention or conflict from those we claim we are not going to step on their toes. Secondly, some decisions that are taken in the best interests of the site may be deemed as 'knee jerk' and may seem unfair. Nothing is removed/moderated for fun. Nothing is removed without good reason. And as I see it, only the link was removed which was a justified action and with good reason.

The game doesn't even fall within what this site is about. We have emulations, and we have simulations. This was neither. Do we know the implications surrounding this program? Is it stolen? Is it a legitimate free release? We know very little. This was one such instance that tested the mods. We make the call. Common sense really. So don't see this as any sort of personal attack as it isn't. I still thought it was daft posting those pics though. :D

I've tried every .NET and still get same runtime error, i have all updates installed but no joy. Tried that much yesterday i f***ed the PC and had to do fresh install and it wouldn't run then also, so i can't see it having conflict issues. It's time to give up me thinks.

If i makes any difference i'm running XP Home SP3 AMD Athlon 64 dual core 4800+

Going to give it another half hour then thats it.

Thank you for explaining that so well Zoltar..Mods (new and old) never do anything on the site without good reason.

As i said to Baz yesterday.."We dont make the rules"..just look after the best interests of the site.

I have to agree 100% if I ran the site I'd be very wary about hosting this, although it's not being hosted directly on the site so not sure if that makes a difference. I think in the past we have waited for a first contact from the manufacturer before removing these things, but can understand fully why people err on the side of caution and when all's said and done it's up the site owners/ mods to make these decisions and think that to be fair if anybody is going to be fair about decisions compst definitely will - as well as Dad.
