Hey chaps. Found this acrade for sale on E-bay. Might interest someone as it is small, manageable and has scope for improvement in terms of decor and hours of business. Breakdown of costs look fairly good too (unless im missing something) ??

Amusement Arcade Business for sale on eBay, also Fruit Machines, Fruit Machines, Coin-Operated, Video Games (end time 19-Oct-08 19:08:04 BST)

This is the fourth time this business has been up for sale - first time (about a year ago) it was on for 15-20k - now 6k... Big problem I see is that there is no lease included so you are basically not buying a lot... In many ways the most important thing is the lease - we all know you can go and buy 20 machines from ebay for a grand.

Why are these arcades always full of those crappy £5 JP machines? Wouldn't they be better off with £25 JP machines?

Different license - different tax.... more expensive to run.

Seaside arcades. Have picked up many cheap machines from them.

They still pay tax on income - so they do not pay for a license - but what I meant was:

If they had £25 machines they would pay the license plus tax, £5 machines no license - however tax, so that is why many of these small arcades have so many £5 machines (as far as I am aware) - sorry if my previous comment was somehow misleading.
