There was a guy selling similar stuff a few years ago that was talked about at FF. The stuff he had was down the same sort of lines as this guy. This guy had stuff ranging back to the late 70's. Like the Atari 2300 if I remember correctly. But he had like 10+ of everything. ZX 81's, Orics, Dragons, Amstrads, and that was just the computers he had. He had dozens of consoles that I'd even forgot had ever existed. It was amazing to see the stuff he had collected over the years.

I saved my paper round money (christmas tips plus christmas money from family ect...) to buy a ZX Spectrum.
First computer I ever had. In the book, there were a few 'Basic' code programs to try out. One made a sort of 'Hangman' game. Another made a nice 'Union Jack' flag. Anyone remember those?
Sinclair Programs was a magazine full of 'Basic' programs that I became lost in for hours and hours many evenings. Little 'Pac-Man' type games and other stuff. Then they moved towards machine code for smoother and faster games. The times I'd almost cry when I ran the code through the compiler, save it out, run it, a bug being found, and the code becoming corrupted. All because I didn't heed the words, 'Save your work as you go'.
Remember 'Jet Set Willy'? When it came out (approximately when Frankie Goes To Hollywood did Two Tribes), it had a bug in a room called 'The Attic'. The fix was released in 'Computer and Video Games' magazine. You'd load the first part of the game. Enter a few lines and a 'POKE' or two, load the rest in. And when the game loaded, it asked that you put a blank tape in and press 'record'. Saving the whole game back again but this time it was fixed. I made £11 at school (a fortune for a 14 year old) by selling the fixed game to other kids for a quid a go including free C15 tape.
Anyone remember the different versions of 'The Key' that worked in a similar way? Backing up the tapes but being able to make copies to sell or swap around school?
WOW! 14 and a 'hacker' lol. Almost 25 years ago now. Quarter of a century. Jeeze. I'm an old git. Another 30 years and i'll be setting up my own FME site and calling it 'Dads FME'
I'm in sooo much trouble for that one lol.

I remember "the key" well but I don't remember the other similar programs. I remember having 60 minute cassettes with over 10 games on them! A lot of the games were really poor for the ZX Spectrum but there were a few gems too (Starquake, Sabre Wulf, Chuckie Egg, Jet pac and many more!)
I still play them on emulators now from time to time.
