I have both, never really play PS3, the 360 has a better selection of games, and its online service is way better.

i have both consoles and have to say i cant decide but the ps3 does have some better things like no RROD as what happened to my 360 last week..lol but online the 360 does seem to have a better community atm maybe until `home` appears on the ps3. as for games there is still more games on the 360 and i never liked the achievement part at first as i was never a big fan of single player games as ive always been into multi player games, it is nice to see the trophies on the ps3.
overall i think the 360 has been winning the way but now i see over the next year or so sony will take over

The main winner for a lot of people at my shop is especially the price. You can get a really good 360 bundle for a fraction of the price that a PS3 on its own is. If the PS3 was £200 (Like in most other countries), then it would be a different story, as at the moment the PS3 is too expensive and was too little too late the opinion of many people

The PS3 has had it's fair share of hardware issues, including a high failure rate on the drives themselves.
Plus the 360 is a lot cheaper for those looking to get into HD gaming, it has a wider range of games and game styles. It has a 3 year guarentee thrown in, so if it does go wrong, you've got 3 years (as long as you don't mod it!)
The main thing that annoys me with the 360 is the noise... my Elite anyway is noisier than I would like, seeing as how I use open backed headphones.
If the PS3 gets more competitive on price, I think it would be a better solution. When it first came out, it was worth buying for Blu Ray playback if you wanted that - but you can now get decent Blu Ray players a lot cheaper. Last time I checked Richer Sounds they had models from £150.

The noise of 360's will be quelled once November 19'th comes, New dashboard update and you will be able to install games to the hard drive, you still need the DVD but it only spins up to check, then goes idle.
I have one of the newer HDMI ones with extra heatsink so its much quieter than the old ones
360 is way ahead of the PS3, the online system is miles better, ok you pay for it... but as they say, you get what you pay for, in the ps3's case.
With the current price drop, the 360 will soon be outselling the ps3.
Better controller on the 360, I much prefer the inverted analog nubs, my fingers always slip off the ps3 ones because they are the wrong shape.
The only bad thing I dont like about 360 is the price of storage, £22 for 64 poxy MB. Ive got a 20Gb hdd and I plan on buying a WD1200BEVS to upgrade it to 120GB
Home will become just another social networking type affair I think will be completely pointless and rivals nothing the 360 has to offer.
EDIT: + the 360 is hackable, well only a DVD drive hack, its more than the ps3 has
RROD is easily sortable within a day

I had a 360 and then traded it in for a PS3, the reasons:
- Xbox 360 is a noisy as hell
- The Xbox 360 has a power pack the size of a house
- For aesthetics the PS3 wins hands down
- Blu-ray as standard on the PS3
- Online gaming is free on the PS3
- Controllers are better on the PS3

The reason I think the PS3 controllers are way infront is because the xbox wireless controllers ( well my two anyway ) allways turned them selfs off , not sure if this is a common thing.

Errrrr no.
What a lot of people don't realise is that Bluetooth is nothing special. It's just wireless technology over shorter distances. It creates a Personal Area Network between 2 or more devices once they are 'paired'.

Changing the bloody batteries as well got on my nerves. Do they have rechargeable ones as standard now?
