Sorry for being away for so long.Latest from HMG They're Bailing out all those greedy bankers who put us in this mess in the first place !!! (Sorry for the spelling, Drunk!!!).MY opion of this is, why should we pay for their mistakes for being greedy in the first place and we taxpayers having to pay for it.This is our hard-earned money we are talking about!!! This English Goverment (Sorry If I Offend You Out-There) is screwing us rotten with high Leccy Charges, Fuel, Gas etc...Way are we (The British Public) gonna get a break from this mess !!!

What free Scottish prescriptions are they? Students, the young, the old and the poor get free prescriptions. I don't see that as unreasonable.

Mate, the banks make the wheels of this country go round. We cannot do without them and don't have an option in bailing them out.

The reason why we are all in this mess is because of the banks themselves. For nearly 30 years now the banks have been investing our cash in the stock markets, abroad and just about anything they could to try and increase shareholders profits WHILE doling out mortgages to people who couldn't afford them....Honestly.....some banks were handing out mortages SIX times their salary.....thus creating a huge increase in house prices and therefore higher mortgage rates...increasing house prices...etc...until it spirals out of control.

It only takes one bank to fold before they all do. The public aren't to blame as much but they are in as much as they try to buy big too early.

Investors in pensions, shares, etc...have now been found out. The money was never there in the first place. I feel really sorry for those people who have been suckered into private pensions as they will be worth nothing in 20 years.

Honestly....I go out and buy a share when a Company is privatised worth £1, the next day it is worth £5???? Where did the extra £4 come from? You get what you deserve in this world and you certainly don't get anything for nothing.

Now we have to bail all the greedy bastards out with our taxes.

I don't know the ins and outs, but from now on, local governments, banks, should not be allowed to GAMBLE the taxpayers money away. Our local council North Ayrshire invested 30million squids in an Icelandic bank, which just went bust. WTF!!! How can that be right????

Jail the f*****g lot of them resposible for it!!! I know who will end up paying for it though.

It is time to stop paying through the nose for greedy politicans who just enjoy going on junkets and who have found the gravy train. It is time to kick these people where it hurts. I for one am fed up reading about my local councillors attending posh do's at OUR expense. When are we all going to stand up and do something about it?

The problem with us brits is that there are too muny gullible ones. we see a message about petrol and we all go out and stock up and fill the engine as much as possible. the same goes for food/shortages and now the credit crunch.. people with decent paid jobs are simply not spending because, quite simply they have no idea whats going on but want to be cautious for some apparent reason.

Their job is not on the line, nor as a loaf of bread about to treble in price.
