That would explain why I havent had it then!
And to get the £105, I had to punt it with hundreds and hundreds, taking literally nothing... makes me wonder how these machines save up for such a massive streak in an arcade, because your always going to get someone who does his rocks and then thinks "right, i'll just take what I can get", thus setting it back yet again...

This is my first post! Hi everyone
I'm getting one of these machines off Ebay (bought by my wife for my birthday) to use as a nice piggy-bank. Knowing very, very little about the working of fruit machines, how much cash will I have to load it up with to be able to play it? From what I've read, the hopper holds something like £125 (am I right?) will that need to be full to play, or will a lower amount allow normal operation.
Hope I've not asked too silly a question

Hi PJ, welcome to Fruit-emu, and enjoy your stay!
I'm pretty sure you'll be delighted with your machine, there are loads of features on it, plenty to do, and you've made a good choice :-)
To actually play it, you could probably get away with putting in just £10 or so in £1 coins. If you win, then when you press collect, the machine pays out £3, and then waits for you to press collect before paying another £3, and so on, until it has paid you your whole win. This means that you don't need a huge amount of pounds in the machine to operate it. If, when you win, you hold down the collect button, the machine will spit out the whole win in one go.
The coin hopper will hold £125 in £1's, unless the machine is fitted with a note acceptor, in which case to fill it up completely will take £250 in £1's. The note acceptor will not activate until there are at least £125 in coins in the hopper (there are ways around this, but that means that the hopper would not be 'correctly' floated - but would still work fine).
Don't forget, the machine only pays out in £1 multiples (i.e. only £1 coins), and 5p's, 10p's, 20p's, 50p's and £2's will all drop immediately to the bottom of the machine into the cashbox never to be seen again (unless you open the bottom door with your key!), as will £1 coins once the hopper at the top of the machine is full.
I've had mine about a month, and I've already managed to save £140 worth of £1's in the hopper, £100 in notes in the note acceptor, and about £100 in smash in the cashbox. £340 that I never would have saved any other way! Once its in the machine I forget about it and just leave it.
Hope that answers your questions mate, any more feel free to ask :-)
Cheers!

Anyone got any idea why it is that whenever I turn my machine on, it always says that its the 24th of November 2008 at about 11:15pm. The clock doesn't seem to work, and this makes me think that the machine may also not be running to the correct payout percentage. Anyone got any ideas?
Also, sometimes the machine says "On/Off Alarm" and buzzes madly after I turn it on (Even if its been off for 24 hours or so). Then, if I turn it off and back on, its fine. This only seemed to start happening after I disassembled, reassembled and re-fitted the hopper. Although the hopper works perfectly, and I believe I've fitted it all back in correctly.
Cheers

I'm pretty sure the battery on the mainboard has gone in my Warped machine, which runs on the Eclipse One Stop technology, as every now and again (about once a week) it will give an ALRM ON/OFF error on turning the machine on, along with a loud alarm. Cycling the power will make the machine come on. Also, the note acceptor stops working (until I reset the BNV key - a prime symptom of a dead battery, I heard).
The time on the clock is always wrong, it doesn't seem to advance when the machine is off, hence it always says 24-11-08 11:30am, or thereabouts.
Anyone know where I can get a new battery please, and is it particularly difficult to change it, as I cant see where the battery goes.
Cheers!

Just stumbled across this thread after trying to find out who manufactures the fruit machine 'Warped'. Anyway, been reading through the positive comments about 'Fruitmachines4u', so decided to look him up only for him to be inactive. However, theres another newish company thats appeared on Ebay called 'gamesales-2009' that seem to have the same warehouse pictures of the machines - so does this mean they are the same? Anyway, just wondering if anyone has dealt with 'gamesales-2009' and do they uphold the same level of service as this Brain guy?
Cheers

Just checked the advert out, the pictures are the same, the advert is almost the same, and the phone number dialling code is 01530 for coalville, which is where my Warped machine came from. I'd say its the same guy.
Never had any problems with my machine, always works perfectly, and when him and his co-driver delivered it they couldnt do enough to help - absolutely fantastic service, so personally I'd recommend him till the cows came home :-)

had the same problem with billy the little shit. the internal battery has gone and thus will forget in percentage and the BNV key, therefore it will siren quite loud and say BNV ????
solution - new battery or mainboard.

Thats the weird thing, even though the siren goes off, it doesn't lose the percentage, and the note acceptor stays working. When I turn the machine off and back on, the siren doesn't come on again, and the machine works perfectly. I hope I don't have to get a new mainboard, I don't have the program card to load the game data onto the board!

Hi all, i had a warped off gamesales and the first machine they sent me was wired wrong and wouldn't work so i had to wait another week just for them to bring me a new one, however that said my new machine works great.I also find the clock doesn't work like it should it just resets after i turn it off but other than that its a good machine.

Hi Woodey, mine seems to do the same with regards to resetting the clock. Not sure if its due to a dead battery or what, but it doesn't seem to forget its percentage settings so I'm not sure why it does it. Great machine though!

Luminas are the easiest to set up (basically just plug in, set the BNV key in the hardware setup, and away you go), but it will also take an NV series acceptor, and JCM too.
