From next year, ebay is changing is postal rules.
If you are selling an item you have to offer a delivery option.
There is more info here.

The most intresting item is you are selling a coin operated video game, which AWPs fall into the most you can charger for delivery is £14!
You try delivering a fruity to the otherside of the country for £14!
Postage and Packaging policy update
another nail in the eBay coffin.

I agree to a certain extent (especially on the DVD sales having to offer free postage??? That's a load of nonsense), but if you read it there are exemptions that include fruit machines - you need to select courier and bulky items from the delivery option.. Although ominously it does say they will be monitoring it to see it's not being abused.... Ebay are going to end up on their ass in my opinion..

Surely that would cover all coin operated video games, so why include it in the max charge list.
Do DVDs included boxsets, some have 20 plus discs in them

Includes boxsets - the funny thing is they say that if it doesn't cover your charges you can have a higher starting price/ reserve.... Funny thing is that explains everything: basically they don't get a fee for any money paid for delivery however they get a fee for any part of the sale price - so they are forcing you to pay more money to them - it would be clever if it didn't mean they are going to lose business.

I guess it'll make it better for the buyer but if the seller starts to make less money there will be neither any sellers or buyers
Looks to be a bad move, less items going through the system (which they already take way too much off the seller if you ask me!).

How can they tell you how much P&P should be, your selling your item using there site which you pay for. The P&P cost has nothing to do with them, they get there money from your item selling AND listing of the item. A DVD costs about 60p to post 2nd class plus the price of a jiffy bag, so how can it be free.
All so that they can make more money got nothing to do with sellers ripping people off. I look at P&P and then add that to the total amount Im willing to pay any way. If its a stupid amount P&P I don't bid.
Im not saying they shouldn't make money but they always take it to far. Just pure greed.
normal sellers suffer again only people to gain from this are Ebay
I wont be selling on ebay anymore after 27th of Jan.

I think they have done this to stop people listing for example a tv worth £500 and listing it buy it now for 99p and postage £499 Therefore ebay greed merchants only make money on the 99p final value and seller gets more money and they can`t have that can they greedy sh**s ! usually it not so obvious but see it a lot on cheaper items!

I read about someone doing this, and the buyer calling round to collect it and pay cash.
I don't think the trade took place, but some neg feedback did.
When you sell on play.com you have to offer free delivery on everything, however it is reflected in the price.
