Information has it from a good source that it was, in fact, Mr Tumble who was playing with fireworks, and not the Chuckle Brothers as earlier said. :-P

Just a few clarifications, Blyth has had regular fireworks displays off the Pier for several years with no problems I guess it's just one of those things.

The pier is not a pleasure pier, it's part of the Harbour, it's condemed and closed to the public. The only people who go down there are fishermen who bypass the locked gate or wind turbine engineers.

Thanks for clarifying blyth. Not having seen any pics of it I assumed it was a touristy type of pier like Great Yarmouth, etc.Still a sad loss anyhow:bigeyes01:

I must admit...I'd quite like to see this talentless, smug, smarmy piece of shit sitting on a bonfire tomorrow night. Can anyone arrange it? :)

He's got a face that you would never get tired of punching.

The whole pier hasn't burnt down (It was still there when I looked today!), AFAICT from talking to people a small section was burnt and some power cables were damaged that's about it!
