Arrrgghh!
I have error 0144 non payout of 100p cash on my fruit machine and am without a clue how to clear it. I don't have a refill key so I can't dump the hopper or enter test mode, although I have access to every other part of the machine. I've the manual but it doesn't explain how to clear the code in there, short of removing the internal battery I don't have much of a clue.
could any of you shed further light on this?
oh an hi, first post!

Hi and welcome
I dont know for sure but i would have thought putting some cash in the hopper and leting it pay out would do the trick.
If you have allready attempted this and its not worked i am sure either Aamusments or one of the other guys who know more about the machines will let you know how to do thid.

thanks for your prompt reply, usually the machine will tell you to contact an attendant if the hopper is empty, an alarm is just sounding off all the time with the fault code, leading me to remove the speaker wires!

Hi
I am guessing that the error you have is much the same as the call attendent one but my tech knowlage is limited i am sure that either Niles who has his own arcade or Aaamusments who fixes them for a living will be on at some time today and will be able to tell you exactly how to remove this error.

Cleared!
With just a little bit of common sense, I removed the hopper and gave it a jiggle and solved the problem.
the procedure of fixing the machine was printed inside the door, i'm such a half wit.
Thanks for the speedy replies!

sounds like you have a coin jammed right at the hopper opto.
unfortunatly you will have to gain access to the hopper and manually remove all coins including the one that has jammed right at the point where it leaves the actual hopper itself.
