I'm with James... 39 Steps original with Robert Donat.
Oh Mr. Porter (Will Hay)
The Ghost Train (Arthur Askey and Richard "stinker" Murdoch)
What A Carve Up (early 60's, Sid James, Kenneth Connor, and Shirley "$&%#fest" Eaton)
The Lavender Hill Mob
Murder At The Gallop, Murder Most Foul, Murder Ahoy (all with Margaret Rutherford and Stringer Davis)
Kind Hearts And Coronets
Goodbye Mr Chips
The Lady Vanishes
And if I can get Morse in there as "films", I'll have all 33 episodes.

I wouldn't bother. There are no films that can compete with the warm embrace of death. Not even one with Will Smith in.
He who wrestles with a turd will be beshitted whether he fall under it or over it.

Here is a rather excellent "short" though. It really is quite terrifying:
YouTube - Sandman, The (1992)

Forgot one....
The Ladykillers, the original, not the f*****g shite usa bollocks remake.
On ITV1 this afternoon in most regions.
And Quadrophenia as mentioned above.
Possibly Tommy as well for the Ann Margaret rolling about on a big cock shaped pillow covered in beans.

I hope you mean the CLASSIC C4 pre-watershed 8pm scheduled overdubbed version of said film which was a real gem.
"Don't you flipping flip with me you Goddamned flipping motherflipper"
Channel 4 Gold. Wish they'd show THAT ONE again.
