Hi my name is Ben and ive just join this website. ive had a look through some of the threads and you all seem a friendly bunch and i hope you will be able to help me with my problem. i have just brought a fruit machine of e bay, got it home and it doesn't work, (just my luck!!). it did work when i paid for it, so somewhere between there house and mine its decided to give up the ghost. i turn it on it runs through its initialising stage, then i press the little black button for free play (i assume thats what its for as i get 20 credits) press start the reels move alarm goes off, and it displays "reed d spin error" and displays "AL" in the other lcd. i have searched the forum for similar probs which suggested it may be wires in the way, ive checked and there isnt. so i am a bit stumped. it has the mpu4 in it, if thats any help. i would also like to know if you can buy/download and manual for the machine. the machine itself is a "barcrest viva las vagas" any advice would be greatfully received.
thanks ben

have had a look, it looks like they are all connected and they all go round when it initailises. it has 3 reels and a dice reel if that makes any difference.

Reel D will be the dice reel, try dissconecting then reconecting the loom(wires) from the reel and motherboard then turn on
Think your hard enough?

Maybe not the machine manual but there must be an mpu4 manual kicking about.

hi got it working, it must have been a bad connection. however there is now another problem. machine starts ok and you can play of the free play (little black button) afterwhich you can put money in but it doesnt pay out in this mode. soo switch it off and on with the door on. starts ok tests everything then it displays "door" and number 86 in the lcd. had a look at the door switch looks like the ppl before have messed with the wires. so i have 6 contacts on the switch and 4 wires (2black 1 white 1 red) so i just need to know which wire goes on which contact, hopefully.
thanks again for the solution to the first prob didnt expect such a fast response. here hoping for a equally as easy solution
thanks again

i would try the reels to see if there aligned right then check the hi/lo real if that fails i would check the coin slot/insert as it can always come away whilst in transit:bigeyes03:
