TV I think is the downfall...or is it the CHR?
Anyway I found one on sandown pier...Put 2 quid in, first quid in, Bang... I thought was backing...so I thought "ahh 20 plays will be fun:)" 2nd quid in...Bang. Start...Nothing happened!
I think my credits just fell through into the deep crater of the machine

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

Still find a few on the coast.Usually the 5p/£4 ones.Still a bit of fun to play and still can be manipulated.
Couple of years back they had a 20p/£10 monty in Meadowhall amusement arcade. It has been closed down tho now:bigeyes01:

Loved montecarlo or bust, miami dice and reno reels when they came out, was well easy to get the super feature every time:)

Yes it was easy to get the super feature every time - but if there was no value in the machine you would just get 20p - if I remember correctly. Still a class machine though. I think it was mazooma, or was it BWB??
Red hot poker was another classic. £4.0 repeat to £48 with plenty of afters!
Didn't Monte Carlo have the marked cards too?
Great days!

They were bwb machines and all had marked cards
When reno, monte and miami first came out they were 20p 8quid token jp, the minimum a super would give was 4pound but often gave a big token streak, i used to take pockets full of tokens out of them then pump them into bar-x's for a good cash return....how i miss those days

The first of these type of machines were in fact £6 token £3 cash wins. These were by far the best for across the board £30 streaks. They spoilt them by increasing to £4/£8 and dint play the same. They were chipped up to spoil most chances of manipulation. Shame really, made a hell of a lot of money on the earliest versions.

Monte carlo or bust used to be a great machine in the early days. The secret holds, hold em alls and follow the buttons with boat horn sound effects rocked. I still remember a few of the marked cards. a 2 had the middle part of the card missing, a queen had a dodgy red bit on the side. As for the features they were quite fun, especially the horse racing with the humourous names for the horses!
I agree though, as they were chipped and the jackpots reduced, the gameplay was seriously altered.
