Most priemeir teams, got eachother with a few exeptions, WHY DO MAN U always get a lower team, They travel to Southampton.,.,, I really hate Alex Fergusons antics like pointing at his watch and being an arse basically!, I would never take what he has done for Man U, He is Mr Man U, But just makes you think that the cup is fixed. C'mon southampton:bigeyes02:

Errm.... how do you work out that it's fixed? At this time, I would say that Manchester United are one of the best teams in the football league. I'm not a fan and to be honest, I agree with your 'Alex Ferguson' gripes, but if you look at it, and you add the other teams of a similar strength/success, then you are really only adding Liverpool and Chelsea. So looking at the odds, Manchester United are pretty much bound to get a team that is inferior to themselves.

For Hull though, It's strange seeing a Premiership team as their opposition without all the fuss like previous years, 'playing the big boys' ect... and for the first time ever, seeing the match from the perspective that Hull are rubbing shoulders with Newcastle. No disrespect to the toon, but last year, and every subsequent year, to Hull City, these sorts of matches were those 'dream' games. It's strange that it should be now considered as 'just a match'.

And with Hull 6th in the Premiership, and most definately holding their own, it's sad that I can no longer get stupid odds for a 3 - 0 win to Hull City on a match like this. :D

And I'm a rugby leage fan. I know bugger all about footy.

If HULL knock newcastle out of the competition i would liek to see them go and win something, Newcastle, look certian to win nothing this season with owners Mike Ashley, not willing to spend any money in Jan, (Im not a director of a footie club but if i was one point of the relegation zone....)

So i think we shall be in the championship for a few seasons from next year

Most premier league teams drew each other Tommy? What I think you meant to say was that most teams got a team from the lower leagues. I think yours is the only Premiership tie.

As for you saying the draw is fixed. Please explain how that can be when you can watch it live....and they were picking random balls out of a machine.

We've got Hartlepool away (Stoke). Jeff Sterling will have a great time with that....lol.

The only reason you are feeling hard done by is that your team is shite Tommy...although you have picked up a bit recently.

I'm happy with the draw, whether we got plymoth or manure we would still field the same team. For Arsenal the FA cup is a good chance for the fringe players to get match pratice.

None can argue that the Arsenal kids are the best reserve team out there and its due wenger fielding them in games like this.

united always get a lower team? well for the reasons zoltar points out that is technically true. However if you mean they always draw someone from the lower leagues then didn't they actually draw Aston Villa in this round for the last two years running?

In fact, I think i'm right in saying that in the last two seasons they have only been drawn against teams from the premiership in the FA cup, this will be the first time since the 4th round in 2006 that they have played a team from a league lower than them.

why not look at it from the point of view that chelski never get a hard draw? from what i remember united beat arsenal in fa cup last year. while chelskis hardest game was wigan away.and united had villa, pompey and tottenham. while chelski had barnsley, huddersfield and some other lower league team. so would you care to explain that??
