Baz, anyone.......

Now these 'test' machines....

What exactly does 'test' mean, I appriciate its the play factor on-site etc but how exactly is it decided as to whether a machine goes into general production?

These test machines cost a lot to produce of course and a small run too--then they may make money if popular, what prior research goes into them though to decide what 'does and dont' get this far as the answer to my first paragraph can surely only be answered by the second One?

a typical senario would be that a machine is sited an a pub and the taking are recorded. i was stunned to hear that psycho cash beast 2 failed its test - which leads me to believe it was sited in the wrong pub (perhaps it was the wool pack?)

depends who's test results it was as we have ordered 10 from barcrest last week(psycho cash beast 2)

it may have failed gamestec's testing but that doesn't mean its not out of production.

it has to fail barcrests testing as well as they also take the results from all the independent operators as well.

gamestec's testing is completly different.

if the manu's get bad feedback from both gamestec and the independents then its a complete fail.

Kinda wondered that myself..does this mean Barcrest or Bellfruit or whoever only make say..5 machines and put them in certain pubs..and it depends how much the avarage pub punter plays it. ?

On this "test" subject,I used to play a little in Leeds city centre and one arcade there used to have test machines in for the punters.Suppose it was a free way of testing before an official release. They would be in for a few weeks and then replaced with new ones.
Might have been an agreement between the manufacturers and the arcade owners.

Frankly I can't see why they bother testing these machines. From what I see. they're just direct copies of machines that are already out there (or am I mistaken)?

btw

poker face has a small difference in that when on the feature board the shot zones can change colour so each game can be different every time.

what i mean is the bits that i have marked with a black dot have yello blue and green bulbs behind them and these change colour when you land on the zone square on the feature so your shots may change from when you first entered the feature.

nah they just get the game taken out and rebuilt with a brand new game.

they dont even supply any support for that machine as soon as it fails test.

so the programs get deleted from the bulliten board and it isn't even documented as a production release.

also test machines arn't avaliable to buy until they do actually pass a majority of test results sso even if yu had £2500 and wanted to buy one of these test machines its an straight forward no.

Baz, has the Hi-Lo silver had any sort of program update you know about? They seem to have calmed down a lot, also they don't seem to play the same way they used too.
