It takes too long to boot, its bloated, takes a silly amount of system resources to run it, crashes far more than xp, it still has compatibility issues with far too much stuff, its full of DRM and anti-piracy watch crap, has backdoors for the NSA FBI etc (although i'd imagine xp has these too), the repair functions arent as good as xp, theres far too many pop ups asking for permission to do things, the networking can be very buggy when connecting to networks using xp, and the "helpfull Diagnostic" functions never give any usefull information.

I can do this for a while, but you get the jist.

For example, take xp, grab a nice desktop themes kit to make it look like vista and it'll look the same, but perform better. Why would I want to spend more money on a new and unstable OS when the only thing that seems to be a bit nicer is the aero interface, which you can make xp do with a couple of plugins.

Well good news and bad news.

Good News: I have identified the bug, I can work round it but I dont really know why its not working.

Bad News: Its going to take me a few hours to fix it I think. Needs a bit of a rewrite.

Madotate is the best of these Xp-Vista Aero/3d Flip interfaces. Works very well and a lot faster than Vistas Versions.

i know this is old news, byt even microsoft admit its bad and will cease development when windows 7 comes out.

Deffo Rik, been hoping you'd find your way over, you should find that FMEF works fine for you. Just need to get everyone else up to spec lol.

Quick update.

Right, I have found that I am confusing addresses of people when sending. So once you have sent something once, you cant send anything else. Its gonna be a bugger to find the bug for this, BUT at least I know what it is now.

Once that is done, I have about 30 mins of tidying to do and it can finally go to the testers for a bit.

I would leave it until after Xmas now mate. Don't think you will get the right testers otherwise. Whatever you do, don't go giving it out willy nilly. We can wait.
