...and how have they shafted you?
Sorry lovespuds...but I think you are the latest member of the FME Muppet Club.
Most of your posts are pish but here's what you have done!!!
Paypal don't "shaft" people. I'm guessing you have received an e-mail from "Paypal".....and it's not really them. You have entered your account details and some guy in Africa has used your stupidity to use your account.
Is that what happened or would you care to explain?

First of all maybe some of my posts are pish but, I have some good points to make like any other person and they have diddled me out of £40. So lets go I will tell you what happend, I had 3 pound odd in my paypal account and with that paid for rapidshare so paypal used my card details to collect the remaining 2.66, which was declined on the 15th nov. incurring a £40 charge ( nt realising that i dint have any money) so then on the 26th of nov they tried again without notification and again i inccurred a charge on the 1st of december, but my paypal was still in debt but on the 27th of nov the debt was cleared by a credit into paypal but they dint cancel the direct debit for the 2.66 on the 26th even though the debt was paid back. which anyone can cancel a direct debit upto 24 hours before it leaving the account and 3-5 days after issuing the oreder to the bank. And i explained all this to paypal saying it was there fault and they dismissed it altogether and wouldnt refund the 2nd charge even though it was their fault. so you see guys n dolls paypal are #@#@#@#s.

I lost £860 to paypal last year..
i sold a widescreen plasma 42" for £860, the guy paid with paypal and collected the item about 2 days later. no probs
a week later paypal took £860 from out account (we already withdrew it and therefore left up with a minus figure) explaining that the account had been hacked and used fraudulently, therefore the money had been refunded to the owner BUT we could get a refund if we provided our proof of sending - HE PICKED UP IN PERSON!! we got no leg to stand on.
for the record, the idea of ebay and paypal is a good one, but ebay way over charges and ontop you have paypal with charges again, so you get stung twice.

I got shafted like this with a £140 PSP, trouble is if you state no pickup for paypal on ebay you will have your listing pulled but paypal state you must not allow collection for pickup.

Pretty much sounds like your own fault to me for not ensuring you had enough money to cover your purchase. By adding your card to your Paypal account you gave them the right to withdraw the money from your card and therefore your account connected to it. You can't expect Paypal to refund your bank charges, this is something you need to take up with your bank. To be honest if your bank are charging £40 for a declined transaction then I would be switching banks, mine doesn't charge anything.

I hope you closed the Paypal account with a minus balance and made a run for it!
