reel based machines will never dissapear, but video based terminals have a wider choice and gameplay, therefore much more attractive to ther buyer.

If the £100 jackpot comes out in janurary, i would forsee a majority being clones of rainbow riches/elvis but on £100 £1 instead of £500 £1.

we shall see.....

Hope the £100/£1 does come in.£100 is still a nice jp and should improve gameplay immensely.

Reason why video screen machines are becoming the defacto these days, is thay they can simpaly be software upgraded to near enough whatever the operator wants, where as reel based machines cost more to convert and much more work is involved. Also, with this, most video fruities are just a computer inside a cab, with one / two screens, and basicaly anyone who knows computers well enough to fix at home, would be able to sort most problems that happen on these video units.

Granted, the price of actualy buying a video fruity in the first place is at least double the cost of a reel based machine, the video unit more than makes back it's cost by cost and time savings by just updating the game software.

It's a shame things are going this way, but it's happening all the same.

I've done a fair bit of casino slot playing in Europe over the last 18 months

Aside from loosing a fortune, I notice that video slots out number reel ones between 5 and 10-1 in most places I visited.

I many cases when you did fine a reel one it had 5 reels and was bascially the same play as a video one.

Those machines with 3-5 feature awards are a piss take. I got 3 Leprecorns at some services in the summer and won £350.

You should try and get some help mate if things are that bad, I lost too much this year and have sorted myself out. Painful confession to the misus, 3 months getting the credit cards and OD sorted out.

Now I have nothing on cards and haven't gambled for more that 3 months
