Did you mean loss?

If you didn't, I have created a thread in the fruit machine emulation to ask the most people won ok! :)

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

Those £5 machines.....
Being under 18 gives you a very small chance at losing billions, especially if you like the early features like me.

Nevertheless, I am currently £4-5k in debt according to my emulator game manager!!!

lol, you questioned it CrAzYbAr, but is the original thread not pointing to real machines anyway?......

No offence to u ppl but why put 100s in £15/£25 jackpot machines. A 10er is enough for £25 jacky. £100 in 1 is not accully gonna be profit (unless u very lucky). My biggest loss is £60 that i won out of another machine, could of walked away with £55 profit but was gutted when i lost it all.

Ok... I don't know if ANYONE else thinks this way but here is my understanding of WHY people put more than £10 into a fruity, I shall use my own PERSONAL experience on the Crystal Maze machine (the one where you try to complete games then try to get over 50 golden tickets at the end)

Ok.. TBH I was good at this, £1 in £5 out simple... if it was WAY over due £2 £10 out.
I only needed it to have over 70 gold in the dome to win (most of the time).
HOWEVER....

Say you get 78 gold and 29 silver thats 49 GOLD so you lose, still... £2 in £5 out is still profit.

Next go 81 gold 33 silver STILL not a win...

so you try again and again. EVENTUALLY you have £5 in and you're breaking even.

but you KNOW it wants to pay (like fruitys)

So after the limit £5 in this case it turns into Lose minimising....

on the 6th £1 it's a case of... well £1 lost is better than £6
on the 7th £1 it's a case of... well £2 lost is better than £7

and so on. until you walk away or win.

Same with fruitys, how often do you win JP off of £10? if you did you'd still play, thats why it's called ADDICTION!!!

but all in all it's based on PREVIOUS wins, EG say Party time gave you £75 last time you played it, you'll happily put £50 in it hoping to repeat your last streak.
Not every pet in Pet Society is sweet and innocent....

The most I have lost is £2,783 in a rainbow riches. I know it was that much because the pots went up 1p at a time on broze and I got the posts after just £3 in and won £64.58 so £65. I had wom the other £2000 from elvis and reelking which went nuts and also a pure madnes which was set at 50p £70 jackpot and also a £260 jackpot magic games machine. I felt sick putting all my winnings and my other money into just one machine. I left it with just £100 in my pocket. I went and got some food from mac d's and sat in the arcade eating it. some kid walks in sticks £30 in and drops a full screen then £20 later the gold pot which was £495.

I was gutted, after that I gave up for 9 months and was even able to sit in an arcade with money in my pocket and sit and watch other players ploughing the machines thinking you bloody mugs. Then I got back into it after buying a stupid dam lotto ticket and winning with 3 numbers. I thought the money I get will be lucky so went to an arcade in wales while I was mountain climbing. That was it hooked again and this time worse than before. It's now at a stage where I need to take drastic action. I'm an addict and need help so have decided to get it in the form of Gordon Moody in Birmingham, I have been on a 3 year waiting list and was contacted the other day to say I've been accepted and will be going away for 14/16 weeks to London.

I know it's a drastic way to deal with it but I need help as my addiction is out of control and is not only making my life hell it's affecting my relationship with my girlfriend and son. I spend all my money in one day not saving for bills and food etc. I'm ashamed to post this but at the end of the day it's life and I'm sure there are other people on the forums that could be in the same situation. I don't know what the outcome will be after I get out I hope that I can still come to fruit emu and be an active member but not making or downloading the machines, I don't know it may be a case of saying goodbye I will have to wait and see.

I will be going to Gordon house on the 11th of June, it's very strict. No i-pads laptops, gaming consoles etc just a mobile phone, TV and MP3 player,. It's going to be hard not seeing my family and friends while away but if this works I look forward to a better life.

Here is the Gordon Moody website if anyone is interested.

Here is a message from someone that went to the house.................

Dave

Hi, my name is Dave, and I have gambled since I was 14 years old. In 2002 my gambling escalated, and my currency to gamble was no longer sterling but my wife and kids and home. All that mattered was gambling. In August 2006 I became homeless. My marriage gone and no contact with my kids, I had nothing left: I had hit rock bottom. A lady who worked for the homeless shelter that fed me told me about Gordon House [Gordon Moody Association] and helped me make contact with them. I arrived at Gordon House on September 11th 2006, lost and very broken. On that day I was asked to trust the staff, so I placed my life - what was left of it - in their hands and I have not gambled since. In my opinion Gordon House saved my life, and helped me rebuild my relationship with my kids, and gave me the tools to have a life gambling-free, to live again. Thank you.

watched my mate lose about £600 in a Rainbow Riches machine recently, the speed those machines go through cash is scary, so glad I don't play machines for real any more, stopped playing around 2001, in a way this decision has been made easier by the crap machines we see these days :)

I played a £70 DOND (cant remember which one), because some bloke had been on it for a while and must have put about £50 quid through, anyways £300 later still no sign of a jackpot, i have never touched a DOND since they are pure evil.

Also on a 3 way sit down machine (cant think of the name now but when you get a board it says ""player 1/2/3...its you!" Set on 25p/£25jp...250 in before i got on the board and it gave me £2 and threw me off!!

At the height of my gambling addiction i was like that as well Rob , although i have never had access to a lot of money .. every penny i had went into them ,,

As the missus says , it dont mater if you have £10 or 10 grand ,,, if you put it all in then your a real addict ... thankfully i never got myself into any debt or anything or id still be paying it off till this day probably.

Dont be embarrased about it , we have all done things we arent proud of in our 'bad days' , i still have 'bad days' where i fall off the wagon and the intention of only spending a tenner quickly becomes .. 50 or 60 or more.

I hope you get the help you need and want , and can kick the machines for good .. and we see you back here as a new man.

I wish you luck robin kick this habit once and for all, the arcade owner don,t give a shit about you they,re rubbing their hands when you walk through that door. I,m still addicted to the bloody things spent £800 just on the slots on holiday last week. I would never get loans etc for the things, but I would still gamble my last penny in them at least one thing when I get paid per week I pay all bills n rent and get food 1st whatever,s left all £20 lol goes online maybe but that's it, and also keep out of gloucester town centre you,ll only play em or just take the money you need to buy stuff get that 1st and leave ALL credit cards at home. I know if I kept gambling the way I did I,d have nothing. Now I have a binge every now and again weston every 3month or so but these days I just can,t afford it. All of us on here are gamblers we wouldn,t be on here otherwise and I still get "my fix" by playing the emu,s but at least they don,t cost you money, friends, home and most of all family... Take care mate and I hope you get your habit under control before it controls you

RH75, you got to try and change the habits and the people you hang around with that means you end up in these places. I feel for you mate, as I was addicted bad back around the 1990's. It's only my change in lifestyle and the places I go to which made the problem go away. I know it's not easy fella, so stick with it :)

Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words. My addiction has gotten so bad I have taken loans out on them stupid payday websites like wonga and txt loan. I am in a bad place atm and the only option left was to go to Gordon moody.

I don't go and gamble with anyone, I don't have that many friends as I always gamble my money so we don't get to go out much to meet new people. I gamble on my own and when I'm playing the machines I'm happy and content until my money goes. It's a kind of get away from reality I guess to escape all the crap I've made, which in turn gets me into even more crap. I just hope I can get through this and come out a better person.

the 1st part of getting over this addiction is admitting you,ve a problem it takes a lot of guts to finally admit you,ve a major problem. I was like you when i was in my 20,s the fruit machine was and probably still is my "only true friend" when playing it, it takes all you problems, worries away. when playing it you,re in your own world just you and the machine and know one can pull you 2 apart even when you,ve lost you,re still attached to it watching other people hoping they won,t take your money out, hoping they,ll lose to, i used to goto stroud at 9.30 to quicksilver with whatever i could get hold of then racing back at 10.50 to be at work at 11a.m then roll on the weekend,s fruity heaven for 2 nights even spending last quid and having to walk home at 4 in the morning in rain or 4miles anyways as said before best of luck mate hope it works out we,ll all be thinking of you, as you,re taking your phone maybe you could do a diary and keep us all posted on here to see how you,re doing

I played the Cops And Robbers club bandit at local club, put in about £110 and won £1.00, yes ONE POUND. Gave up after that, then moved to the states and NO BANDITS in the bars, bummer.

On a footnote...........

Back in the 80's i was a heavy gambler and drinker, i would gamble upto about £1000 every Saturday on the Horses and Dog racing, i would hit the bar at around 1pm Friday afternoon after work, drink till about midnight, bet on saturday, back to the bar at about 3pm till midnight again on Saturday, then on Sunday, back in the bar at 12:30pm (Opening Time) and drink till midnight again. It eventually took it's toll on me, i had to do something, thankfully i took stock of my life and gave it all up on my own. I still have cravings to gamble and when i do, when i travel to the gamble boat with the wife, she limits my money to $100 (about £65). I have learned to control my addiction with gambling and drinking now and i hope you (RH75) can too. Stick to it mate and let it be known that no matter how hard it is going to be, you will always have a family here waiting to greet you back with open arms. Take care, best of luck and i hope it works out for you.

I used to be seriously massively very very badly addicted to these stupid machines. No one has been more addicted than me. But...

If you really want to stop, then it is as easy as this -:

Just. Stop.

Don't do it any more.

Good luck. Its not difficult like people say. If you really want to stop, just don't put any more money in.

Watch how quickly life gets a WHOLE LOT BETTER!

My worst day ever was probably chasing the pots on reel king potty and pieces of eight.
The gold was on 500 and silver was £400 plus.
If I remember rightly the bronze was into the 100's too.
Being a gambler I'm sure most of you would think 'one of those pots is going to go any minute'
so that's what I did........
£900 later, not one pot.
Don't be fooled by the pots.
I'm sure most of you have noticed lately that they seem to be getting higher and higher and more and more stupid.
I remember when silvers and bronzes used to drop guaranteed around the 80-100 mark for bronze and
always around 210-230 on silver, NOT ANY MORE.
Don't know if anyone can shed some light on this subject, but I am sure the programmes have been changed/altered
to tempt us players into thinking 'my god they are high, surely they must drop any moment'
By the way is it true b3's now have a switch inside to stop them paying out 500's?
Just a rumour I have heard.

Well looks like it's not going to be as hard as first thought, it's going to be even harder. The council had told me that while I was away they would continue paying my housing benefit for the 14 weeks while away. So because I knew I would have a place to come back to it made it easier for me to decide to go, so accepted the offer to go to Gordon Moody. Now just had a call to tell me they will only pay the first 4 weeks and thats it. So looks like I wont be able to go as I will be homeless when I get back which would probably be a trigger to get me back into gambling. If anyone is any good at writing letters I would appreciate some help. Please send a pm if you can assist me.
