Vincent had the same problem..he could see the dead.
Bruce willis doesnt actually interact with anybody except the young boy during the whole off the film..everything based around him and his wife is "coincidental" happenings. Until the final realisation that Bruce is one of the dead the young boy is seeing.

Total recall is an awesome film on so many levels...but the main plot line through the whole film is "reality or induced psychosis" are the events real or the secret agent plot of his embedded memorys..and the final white light at the ending leads you to believe it is all a memory implant and Arnie would be left Vegative Blob....or State Governor.
But are the memories that we see in our brains real or merely implants, have we existed for as long as we believe or were we born yesterday...another great Sci fi film had siimilair questions...

Agreed PKD's writngs and short stories are required reading and have been inspiration for many Sci Fi ventures..

Blade Runner
Total recall
The Minority Report
Screamers
Imposter
Paycheck and A scanner Darkly all based on his works...
Cyberpunk:- alienated loner who lives on the edge of society in generally dystopic future where daily life is impacted by rapid technological change, an ubiquitous datasphere of computerized information, and invasive modification of the human body.....Hmmmmm

Blade Runner, Total Recall & Minority Report are well known films, Imposter & Paycheck not so much.

Really enjoyed Imposter, Gary Sinise wasn't that big back then so the film went by pretty much unoticed. I liked the idea of Paycheck but find it hard to enjoy anything Baffleck is in.

Not seen Screamers, Peter Weller out of amour didn't really appeal, perhaps I look it up.

Screamers screenplay was written by Dan O'bannon based on PKD's "Second Variety" Novellette... I think it is probably Mr wellers other good movie...i think Dan drew on several other Sci fi releases towards the screenplay but it is very watchable.

As for Scanner darkly....live action, re-animated....great and true to the PKD writings if you dont mind Anime style films....Animatrix stylee..(also has Keannu and Ironman in the cast)

More like the Take on me A-Ha Video production...than true anime

Im not sure but i think it is to prove to the Bruce Willis character that vincent is telling the truth and isnt psychotic. It sounds like it is a ghost who is with Vincent at the time of the recording praying in spanish or italian

Imposter = Great film indeed. There is a brilliant twist at the end, recommended.

I wouldn't normally jump to their defense, but Disaster Movie has NOTHING to do with the others, which were written by the Wayans brothers.

Just to expand on this :

Scary Movie series = The Wayans Brothers.

Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Date Movie, Meet the Spartans = Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (and all complete and utter wastes of space - both the writers and films)

Just like to keep things accurate.

Epic movie:- written by Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer
Date Movie:- written by Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer
Meet the Spatans:- written by Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer
Disaster movie:- written by written by Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer

Scary movie 1&2 Wayans bros entertainment..written by Wayans bros,co writers Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer
Scary movie 3&4 Robert k Weiss production..written by Jim Abrahams, co writers Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer

Admittedly Lumping the Scary Movie franchise with the (Insert Name) Movie Franchise was implying that they had the same writers, my fault for not specifying that they were co writers on the scary movie films, total crap. I would admit that the original Wayans Parody of Scream was entertaining and delivered the odd chuckle mostly down to wayans direction.

Just to keep things more accurate.... ;)
