Battery Help

Could some one tell me if this looks liek the battery is leaking it has some white stuff on the side of the battery but dosent seem to have any damage or leaking around it. and if so is it best to do not turn on the machine atm and get it changed? thanks.

thats bad mate
dont touch it what ever you do and get it sorted soon as possible other wise you machine will start playing up and tbh it looks as if thats happend recently

Yeah about 2 days ago it started comming up with an error when i turned it on and the reels kept spinning "Reel Error 22" what do you think is the best thing to do about this? would it be best to not turn it on atm and get a new battery?

errm TBH the battery leaking shouldnt have anything to do with the reel messing up
what machine is it by the way

Get that batt removed ASAP, and netrualise any shit left behind with a weak vinagar solution and old toothbrush.
Refer over to The Mecca for help / info on repairing battery damage: The MPU Mecca
system80 seams to be the expert in this field, with his normal suggestion of a coin cell mod, but if you feel you are not upto this sort of work, then fly-wiring a battery pack off the board with AAA pre-charged batts (Best to make sure they are fully charged before installing, as they take ages to charge in the machine), making sure you match the voltage marked on your origonal battery, and match up the + and - pins correctaly.

its Cops n Robbers Deluxe Scorp 2 some one said i could take the battery off and it will still run fine should i try that?

is this the battery i would need
VARTA MEMPAC 3.6v battery 3/V110HT Fruit machine backup on eBay, also Machine Parts Accessories, Fruit Machines, Coin-Operated, Video Games (end time 17-Jan-09 00:19:41 GMT)
also would the other one be soldered in or just cliped or something? Thanks.
