Hi bought this phone (skypephone S2) the other day from Woolworth's for a nice lil £22.67 from £69.99 and all is fine apart from the PC suite. I installed it onto my laptop and it said that it was installed, I then plugged the phone in via the cable and it installed all the bits and bobs. Then when I tried to run the PC suite it went a bit funny. First off I clicked the connect button which connected the phone and started to sync it.
Then I clicked the my folders which would normally take you to the memory card on the phone or the phones memory, but instead it took me to my computer as did all the other buttons, messages, calendar, contacts, copier and so on. Then in my computer I can see the phone so click on it and then the sames buttons are on screen, but when u click any of them this time no matter which one u click they all stop the program from responding and close it.
I did phone three and there advice was to get a better phone! WTF anyways when I connected the phone I got this message on screen for about 1 second then it went. Has anyone any idea as to why i cant get this program working?
Thanks RH

That MSG basically says it can not find an attached device, most likely in this case would be the phones flash memory (Same as a memory stick).
Would advise getting the needed drivers for the phone direct from the manu's site rather than using the install CD that came with it, and installing.
What manu / model are you dealing with here?

I've seen so many of these Skypephones end up faulty it's unreal, and I imagine the same will happen that that new 'Facebookphone' they are trying to do.
Am I right in thinking that it's only 3 network that do these handsets? I bet the other manufacturers wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

i think yr right Bencrest- it is only 3 that do them and they are about as reliable as Villa`s defence think id rather wait until they have sorted the hardware issues before i got one although i do like the idea
Einstein`s theory of FME 90 downloads = 3 thanks

OK, found the drivers....
3 - Help & Support - My mobile - Downloads
Uninstall the old ones before installing, and grab what you need from here, making sure you do not connect the phone untill the drivers are fully installed or when instructed to do so.

Grrrrrrr, links are supposed to be at the bottom, but just looked and there are none shown.
I'll have a look about and see if I can find an alt download location.
Quick question though, you using Vista or XP / media centre?

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Oh well at least if the skype phone messes up I can have three pick it up and fix it, but then again it might take me till the end of my warranty to explain to them what the problem is and it will then be out of warranty. Talking of woolies went in today and it was bare just the shelves, roll cages and empty DVD/CD cases left for sale. So I bought 20 DVD cases for £1.
