
Problems with vista - Please Help

I have a problem on my sisters SONY VAIO VGN-N38E/W
She got this on a contract from PC world .. NO Recovery Disks what so ever
Getting bootup Problems ... BOOTMGR is Missing ... Press Alt - CRTL - DEL to restart
tried this many times and no bloody luck
i have tried to set it back to manufacture settings before the problem and doing fine till a restart all the time ...
please help sort this laptop for my sisters collage work .. cheers all !!

you got home premium or home basic?

you dont need recovery disks any more if you press ALT and F10 on boot up it will re-install windows. The recovery is on a hidden partition on the HD

The partition where the windows recovery isn't usually hidden and you can create recovery disk. The Toshiba has the disk creation as part of the bloatware that is installed as default.

That link will bring up the solutions to the problem, although it defaults to booting from a disk. Just need to get to the installation setup as maverickuk1 said. Should be able to run the repair from there.
