The power struggles, the jealousy, the schizo's, arguments raging between long established members, the sound of emulation getting kicked in the teeth for the umpteenth time, the treachoury, the back stabbing members, the "inner circle", completely random posts.....Ummmmmm.............

Hasn't all this attacking Fruit Forums been done to death??? Some of you don't like it; some of you have had issues there so bitch about it here - fine - but you all seem deeply affected by it. Many members here (like myself) like to frequent both - we do them for different reasons and there is no reason why somebody can't be a member of both. It simply shows a level of childishness that you all attack it so much - although I think personally it's more than that - I think many people wish it would go back to its glory days - however the scene has changed a lot over the years as have the sites. Fruit Forums has always been about arguiing calling eachother names, but it always ends up as comradery and a support system. I like Fruit Forums and Fruit Emu perfectly equally - but even if I hated it because I didn't feel part of it I would just forget about it instead of being fixated on it.

I don't see you attacking it adydb - You are always going to have some people attack back over there - but it does seem that a few people who "excluded themselves" from the site like to attack it and others simply attack because everyone else does - I just feel it should stop. And as for saying I should post a similar comment over there - The site wasn't even up for a day while these threads were running/started - so the attacks originated here. I don't understand all the friction between the two sites all the time as people who were/ are addicted to fruit machines have enough shit without it. I like to go on both sites and see no problem in that - however do not like comments being made about me on here simply because I do.

If by perchance James, you are referring to me then let me reassure you that I was not "attacking" the site, merely having a laugh at what it was when I was a member. Indeed that was the problem. A few people couldn't tell the difference between someone having a laugh and someone who was making a serious, valid point. I'm well over resigning my membership now. Indeed, so "over it" am I that I haven't even visited it as a guest to see what's happening since. It became a parody of itself and a few members, yes only a miniority but that's enough, were so far up their own arses that all the fun was taken out of it. Add to the mixture a few power crazy mods, a couple of freaks and the "we were here first noobs" attitude and there you have it.

Jokes aside Geddy (and this IS serious) i'm gutted he isn't here for this and any thread.....I tried talking to sort it but to no avail....

All we asked was to respect the simple rules....rules Chris quoted himself...not happy with a Mods reply email Duplu they say but that wasn't good enough......even though Alth called me crap and he was wrong I can 'bury' it all....and could the next day too!

Haven't the foggiest why i'm saying this lol....mabey I should use the 'selective' quote that was used upon me lol....I also have the logs!

I wasn't talking about you Gaz - but I just think it's time EVERYONE on both sites buried the hatchet really. Personally I wouldn't mind altharic coming back to comment, but that's his decision. I just think seeing as most of the people who have been around for a long time know each other anyway it's a shame that the infighting doesn't dissapear. I had arguments with Geddy but I am perfectly happy to make up with him the same with anybody else (and I'm sure he's mature enough to do that) - some people just won't let it go though and that's my point. If Fruit Emu were hacked we would all be upset (and I am sure that in reverse people there would take the piss), but it's still not that nice to attack it. We should all just love each other I guess is what I am really trying to say...

But hey, I did predict on FF that Guitar would be the man to come up with a new emulator and I remember being ridiculed on FF for mentioning it. Yep, it's not out there yet (apart from the inner circle 2 ) but it is coming soon. Be interesting to hear what FF members contribute to the scene now James.

No bad blood here (from my end) but I do recall you jumping in 'at the deep end' over there, perhaps more than you could chew. To be fair you had some good points to make, but need to learn to take certain people less 'to heart', which is something it took me a while to do.

I'm glad Guitar is working on something. I can however understand the comments from the FF crowd as to it's worth, because in the real world, there is already an MPU4 emulator. I still respect his efforts and look forward to seeing what actually emerges, however it isn't 'pushing the boundaries' in a way that EPOCH, PLUTO, e.t.c. would be. It's still a nice product in it's own right, but if MFME already does this, and more techs in one, I don't see many people changing unless it stands out for any particular reason. The multiplayer bit got my attention...

Aside from over 6 years worth of resources, and effort towards getting the scene where it is today. Aside from being the most open (Fruit-Emu wouldn't touch MFMEv9.4 or v10.1 with a bargepole before we'd had them for months) forum there is. Fruit-Emu wouldn't touch the releases before we'd hosted them. Hence many members flocked over there to leech, and I couldn't blame them.

Fact is, and I hope this doesn't make your blood boil, but Fruit Forums has and will contribute to anything FME has to offer, and for people to claim otherwise is at least misguided, and at worst spiteful.

Not everyone will agree with the way Fruit Forums is operated. That's fine in my book, but you have to accept that it's users have contributed, because to think otherwise is false.
